Boonsdale Records - THUNDEROR (ft. members of Skull Fist) Announces May 2024 European Tour Dates w/ Tytus

Thunderor 2024 Line-Up L – R: Jonny Nesta (Guitar) | JJ Tartaglia (Lead Vocals, Drums) | Brycen Gunn (Bass)

Canadian 80’s-infused heavy metal band THUNDEROR announces they will be embarking on their next European tour this coming May 2024 with Italy's Tytus (dates listed below).

“We’re very stoked to be returning to Europe once again, this time with a rippin’ new setlist as we’ll be road testing some of the new tunes. And what better way than with our brothers in Tytus! Plus select shows with Violet and Night Laser. This tour is a real testament to the new generation and the DIY attitudes of today, hope to see some good crowds out to support it!” adds vocalist and drummer JJ Tartaglia.

Formed in 2020 by Skull Fist band members JJ Tartaglia and Jonny NestaTHUNDEROR delivers hook-driven anthems to the caliber that has come to be expected by a Canadian power trio. Since 2019, drummer JJ Tartaglia has felt a calling, one which grew stronger each day. Being a member of several prominent metal bands over the last decade, the time had come to take his quest even further. He would share a vision, a feeling… a message he could deliver only with his voice.

Fueled by his passion for adventure, JJ began to work on drum arrangements and piano pieces that would become the skeletons of the THUNDEROR songs. Fall of 2021, would see the release of the 1st single "How We Roll", immediately garnering a worldwide audience. The debut album "Fire It Up" was released in 2022 via Boonsdale Records, charting at #1 on Earshot’s National Loud Chart in Canada. The band has already toured throughout Canada, Europe, Mexico, and South America supporting major acts such as Airbourne, Enforcer, Night Demon, and more.

If you’ve ever felt a longing for escape, a thirst for adventure, wrapped in romance and danger, allow THUNDEROR to be your soundtrack!

Appreciated by fans of Judas Priest, Gowan, and Manowar, “Fire It Up” is available via Boonsdale Records.

"The bottom line for THUNDEROR is that a listen is urgently required. Those who like the singing will have a lot of fun with the CD" - Vampster

"If you’re looking for a solid rock record that’s equal parts pop and metal, Fire It Up could be your jam. The songs are well crafted, catchy and fun road companions. Take it on your next drive or spin it at Saturday’s kegger. Thunderor takes not being serious very seriously. They recaptured the spirit of 80s rock staples like Ozzy to Journey but also managed to put their own stamp on it. Not many throwback NWOTHM acts succeed in putting this much character in their sound." - Angry Metal Guy

"The moment I first heard “How We Roll,” I knew I was in trouble…and instantly hooked. Other numbers like “All or Nothing,” “On the Run,” “We Can Make It,” and the epic title track, infuse multiple sub-genres like thrash, power, and synth metal, and are the type of adventurous anthems that make life still feel like it’s worth living even on its darkest of days." - Rewind It Magazine

TOXIKULL premiere new video at Metal.de

Today, Portuguese heavy metallers Toxikull premiere the new video "Under the Southern Light" at heavily trafficked web-portal Metal.de. The track is the third to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated third album, Under the Southern Light, set for international release on February 23rd via Dying Victims Productions. See & hear Toxikull’s video for the title track "Under the Southern Light" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Born and raised under the hot & blinding southern light of Portugal’s capital Lisbon, Toxikull took off in 2016 and have backed down since: a tumult from the Atlantic, rising to take the world by storm. With two full-lengths, an EP, and a collection of singles, full of incredible guests from bands such as Skull Fist and Crystal Viper under their belts, Toxikull’s taunting, fearless attitude has conquered the European heavy metal underground. Now, after speed metal-intensive Cursed and Punished in 2019 (which
Dying Victims later released on vinyl), they now shift gears with Under the Southern Light, presenting a more mature, melodic, yet thankfully still-rough version of themselves.

Stomping and strutting with absolutely authentic mid/late ‘80s swagger, Under the Southern Light is an unabashed throwback to the era where heavy metal ruled the airwaves and arenas alike. Some might’ve doubted whether such Sunset Stripping sounds could come from Toxikull after the all-pistons-pumping speed metal overdrive of Cursed and Punished, but the ten tracks comprising the 41-minute Under the Southern Light are all anthems in the making: larger than life, heavy and spacious, moody and dynamic. Gleaming with their brightest chrome yet, Toxikull here invoke the quintessential likes of ‘80s Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Judas Priest, Accept, Saxon, Manowar, Black Sabbath, WASP, Ratt, Warlock, Scorpions, Picture, Germany’s Warlock, America’s Icon, France’s Sortilege, and many more. But, instead of pastiche or hero worship, Under the Southern Light is more so a tableau of Toxikull’s personal experiences in the
world, whereby they rearrange all these classic archetypes into a laser-focused theme on the duality of living in the Southern lands of Europe, in places with so much light, with so much joy and potential, but at the same time, with such scarcity of opportunities, no future, and infested with shadows. “The light that feeds is the same light that burns,” says vocalist Lex Thunder. “And the light that makes you dream is the same light that chains you down and keeps you close to the shadows.”

Bright & burning-hot metal pumping blood from a (metal) heart of darkness, Under the Southern Light takes the party down dark, dirty back streets…dare you drink with Toxikull?

Midnight to Release "Hellish Expectations" Full-Length March 8th on Metal Blade Records

Notorious and prolific Cleveland cult, MIDNIGHT, will unleash its sixth full-length, Hellish Expectations, on March 8th via Metal Blade Records.

One-man-army, Athenar, has been churning out an ungodly racket, dropping countless demos, splits, and EPs for over two decades, ultimately slaying the metal/punk underground with his own, highly addictive brand of lust, grime, and sleaze. Filthy, belligerent, and unapologetically obnoxious, MIDNIGHT makes music to start fights to and in 2024 Athenar returns with Hellish Expectations, a ten-track sonic assault of blackened heavy metal nefariousness.

"It's a knuckle dragger with a fat cutoff," elaborates Athenar, "Pure testosterone meat. Probably the most concise and straight to the point MIDNIGHT album to date, and all written in a weekend. The album was written on pure reaction upon leaving the studio after listening to raw tracks from the previous album Let There Be Witchery. The final mix of that album was good, but at the time of laying it down in the studio, I didn't like what I was hearing and demanded a new leviathan of an album to be written that weekend."

In advance of the official unveiling of Hellish ExpectationsMIDNIGHT has dropped the record's first single, album closer "F.O.A.L." (AKA "Fuck Off And Live"), alongside an accompanying video.

Proclaims Athenar, "'Fuck Off And Live' is an ode to the people who peacefully want to die to escape the realities of life, while they should really live and suffer."
