My Position - "Fly Away" new song and music video

 

MY POSITION   "FLY AWAY" My Position is Joe Marks Backed by the production expertise of Shayley Dayshell Bourget of Dayshell. Native to South Florida, now living in North Carolina, Joe Marks has grown up with musicianship around him his entire life. Starting with forming a band with his brothers straight out of high school, he has recorded, performed, and collaborated on many projects from his own YouTube covers, to working with bands/artists such as Pinnacle Soul, Amirwave, Chris Odium, Polar Night, Posthouse Tuomi, Adrien Gonzales & Dayshell. In 2019, he created a project of a fusion of electronic genres with his friend Christian Sandoval, called Lucent Veil. However, his long-time desire to work on electronic rock music along with the guidance of his friend, Shayley Bourget of Dayshell, led to the creation of his latest venture, My Position.   Highly influenced by the sounds of some of his favorite artists, including Dayshell, Celldweller, and Northlane, the musical direction of his debut self-titled EP released in 2021 is akin to nu-metal with a modern low-toned twist, flavored with electronic elements. Joe tends to write lyrics that draw from the human condition allowing listeners to relate to topics or thoughts they may be going through themselves. DUNGEON WOLF's "The White Elf" Out Now

 

Classic/trad metallers DUNGEON WOLF have officially released their newest EP, The White Elf. The band overcame tragedy and adversity to make a triumphant return with The White Elf. The EP marks the first new material from the Floridian trio since the death of founding guitarist/vocalist Deryck Heignum. Recorded entirely on reel-to-reel analog tape, The White Elf embodies the raw, old-school spirit and honesty of a bygone era of traditional metal. Teaming up with a local studio engineer/bassist and drummer for hire these three metal maniacs became DUNGEON WOLF and recorded the melodic and traditional debut album Slavery Or Steel on Iron Shield Rec. Deryck's cousin Sig Heignum later took over bass duties and Darin Fitzpatrick, of the band The Noctambulant, joined on drums. The band took a new analog direction placing an emphasis on the heavy/warm/organic tones that come from recording on reel-to-reel tape. After the release of Metal's Back, Deryck passed away due to a heroin overdose and was replaced by Herman Passions for The White Elf. The band's January 2023 release, Barbed Wire Tattoo features leftover tracks from the Metal's Back sessions.
