HUNTERS MOON set release date for HELLS HEADBANGERS debut album, reveal first track - features members of DENOUNCEMENT PYRE, NOCTURNAL GRAVES

Today, Hells Headbangers announces November 26th as the international release date for Hunters Moon's long-awaited debut album, The Great Pandemonium, on CD format. The vinyl LP version will follow next year.

Seemingly a lifetime ago, in an underground metal scene far removed from that of today, an inconspicuous entity named Hunters Moon made its recorded debut in 2006 with a two-song demo. Stridently traditional, nevertheless did this mysterious Australian entity offer hazily addicting black metal of a most Bathorian bent. Three years passed before the band's first EP, The Serpents Lust, courtesy of Hells Headbangers. Here, the veil was lifted about the band's membership - featuring past and present members of Denouncement Pyre and Nocturnal Graves - but still did Hunters Moon evocatively expand that Bathorian black metal, becoming stouter and more epic, and assuredly different than those erstwhile bands.

Alas, many years passed - a dozen, in fact - but at long last do Hunters Moon make their full-length debut with The Great Pandemonium. Indeed, immediately is it felt that the band's sound has evolved greatly since the no-less-considerable The Serpents Lust. With a veritable arsenal of songwriting at their disposal, Hunters Moon here equally range drawn out mid-tempos along with fast and chaotic riffing. It's a thrilling balance they walk with utmost aplomb, giving The Great Pandemonium remarkable dynamics and high drama. What's more, the sense of the epic from prior short-length works is heightened across this long-form record, no doubt driven by a dark melodic undercurrent which ignites the atmosphere of ancient black metal.

Most of all, perhaps, is the massive production prominently displayed across The Great Pandemonium, giving Hunters Moon an extremely tangible physicality so often lost with nowadays "metal" records. Drummer D.M. has joined fulltime, and his drums were recorded in a bluestone church built in the 1800s. To that, some of the album's lyrics and themes were inspired by John Martin’s Paradise Lost illustrations as well apocalyptic and biblical paintings, which is provocatively echoed in the cover artwork courtesy of Misanthropic-Art.

The culmination of songs and concepts spanning the last decade, truly titled is The Great Pandemonium. Hunters Moon enter their next decade of existence with fiery fanfare, and continue to write new material with the intent of more regular studio albums.

In the meantime, hear the brand-new track "Hearse for a Barren Earth" HERE at Hells Headbangers' official YouTube channel. Preorder info can be found HERE. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

MORGAL set release date for debut album, reveal first tracks...
Refreshingly "new" and old simultaneously, Nightmare Lord literally explodes with an electrifying energy that's startling to behold while beholden equally to the ancient ways of '90s black metal, particularly the more melodic end of such. So, while names like Nifelheim, Dissection, Lord Belial, Sacramentum, and even Bewitched and Raise Hell are invoked, they serve as touchstones for Morgal's blistering, bewitching attack rather than tired tropes to rape further. And where the power-trio previously sounded quite literally off the rails, that attack here has tightened up considerably whilst allowing those maniacal, hysterical energies to run riot; the production, in kind, is clear and cutting and undeniably analog. More than that, each of Nightmare Lord's seven central songs is more anthemic than the last, black-leather bat-wings enclosed around sulfurous heavy metal MAGICK. All told, a chain-breaking, sword-drawing, spell-invoking experience that's velvety blue-purple in spirit but unironically ringed in flames - not for nothing did the legendary Joe Petagno grace Nightmare Lord with exclusive cover artwork....   read more>>

EVIL DAMN LAUNCH DEBUT ALBUM PRE-ORDER & REVEAL FIRST TRACK - features members of GOAT SEMEN...
100% uncut South American madness, rendered in robustly clear-yet-crushing form: brutality, darkness, and chaos colliding head-on and drowning the listener in an epic descent of diabolical evil. NUNSLAUGHTER stream long-awaited new album at "Deaf Forever" magazine's website...
"Red is the Color of Ripping Death," the band's first album in seven years and their first without Jim Sadist. Some of the 14 songs contained herein are unfinished / unrealized music that Jim and founding frontman Don of the Dead wrote years ago. Just as importantly, this album comprises material newly written with Nunslaughter's current lineup, which is arguably the band's best to date. And hearing is believing: over the course of the album's 35 minutes, it becomes immediately apparent that Nunslaughter are a really good - and really ripping - DEATH METAL band above all. Largely gone (or least sublimated) is the hardcore punk influence, and in its place is an absolutely furious onslaught of catchiness and causticness. Armed with the best-sounding production on a Nunslaughter record ever as well as Don of the Dead reaching new heights/depths of maniacal perversity, Red is the Color Ripping Death truly brings the band to a different level of Devil Metal....   read more>>

SACRIFIXION STREAM DEBUT EP AT NOCLEANSINGING.COM - FEATURES MEMBERS OF NOCTURNAL, CRUEL FORCE, FRONT BEAST...
Although brand-new in name, SACRIFIXION feature veterans of the German metal underground - among them, ex-Cruel Force vocalist Carnivore and the ever-prolific Avenger (Nocturnal, Front Beast, Szarlem et. al.). As expected, the power-trio's first recording is a vicious, uncompromising nuclear warhead of ancient deathrash energies. Bearing the all-too-fitting title Shower Me in Death, SACRIFIXIONs' attack bristles with the billowing violence of '80s South America and Germany alike and even earliest Exodus, Death, and Dark Angel....   read more>>

BONEHUNTER stream new HELLS HEADBANGERS album at "Inferno" magazine's website...
The devout power-trio have sharpened their songwriting chops to an insanely focused degree, moving at many speeds and across many dynamics - relatively speaking, of course, for this is still BLACKENED SPEED METAL after all - but always sounding like the same band. And perhaps most remarkable is the production across Dark Blood Reincarnation System: the perfect balance of grit and gleam, blood and thunder, power and poise. But again, perhaps this is just form meeting content...and THOSE LEADS!...   read more>>

HAMMR reveal first track from new album...
Metalpunk maniacs Hammr reveal the new track "Forces of Sin." The track is the first to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated second album, "Eternal Possession," which will see release late fall through Hells Headbangers on CD and cassette tape formats; the vinyl LP version will follow next year. Built on a proud foundation of proto-black metal, hardcore punk, and evil speed metal, here Hammr let loose a wild 'n' loose blast of what mainman JH at the time dubbed "Satanic speed." With solos flying fast and free, instilling that very lawlessness so often missing from heavy metal these days, Unholy Destruction was ever aptly titled - and put Hammr on the international map with no small amount of punctuation....   read more>>

Medicine for a Nightmare: Part Two (Book & Instrumental Audio Compilation) available for pre-order

Medicine for a Nightmare: Part Two is a collection of thoughts and expressions to be part of a larger conversation. It contains essays, poetry, short stories, photography, and other visual art from a unique selection of many characters from many walks of life, age groups, and cultural backgrounds. It's presented in a perfect-bound paperback book that comes with a 90-minute audio companion cassette featuring exclusive instrumental music from 17 different artists. The core of this project is to embrace emotions and impermanence while asking the question “what brings one to see another day?”. The results aren’t what one may expect.

The publishing house Medicine for a Nightmare’s main intention is to create community by sharing ideas and experiences with mixed-media objects during an era of separation. It hopes to be a bridge and facilitate connection, as we scatter across space and time.

The Paperback Book & Audio Cassette/Digital Compilation comes on 22 October 2021; PRE-ORDER available on Bandcamp AT THIS LOCATION.

ROTHADÁS stream ME SACO UN OJO debut album at MetalBite.com - features members of CRYPTWORM

Today, Hungarian death metal cult Rothadás stream their highly anticipated debut album, Kopár hant... az alvilág felé, at heavily trafficked web-portal MetalBite.com. Set for international release on October 12th via Me Saco Un Ojo Records on vinyl LP format, hear Rothadás' Kopár hant... az alvilág felé in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Hailing from Hungary and proudly performing in their mother tongue, Rothadás made their public debut in 2019 with a self-titled demo tape for Me Saco Un Ojo. A two-song work totaling 16 minutes, Rothadás suggested - and strongly - that the selfsame band had a staunchly ancient-minded vision of death metal but by no means were blinkered by the past. Perhaps this unique dichotomy is down to Rothadás being a self-contained duo of vocalist/drummer Lambert Lédeczy and guitarist/bassist Tibor Hanyi - both men equally prolific veterans of the underground, and both concurrently playing in labelmates Cryptworm among others.

Now, at last do the duo unveil their debut album, Kopár hant... az alvilág felé. Here, Rothadás erect an eerily shimmering monument of slimy, oft-doomy DEATH METAL: for maniacs, by maniacs, young and old and everyone in between. Armed with an absolutely crushing production, the band's first full-length betrays an eternal wisdom by maximizing the basics as well as nodding to various eras and locales of death metal but only subtly - immersion rather than extraction, and addition by subtraction, tastefully so in both regards. As each of these five lumbering/lunging hulks of dread-inducing sound effortlessly morph into myriad shapes, each one as ghastly and grotesque as the last, it slowly begins to dawn on the listener than Kopár hant... az alvilág felé retains a runtime of 44 minutes: truly, an experience that is EPIC - as ever, tastefully and subtly so - rather "epic" in shameless overstatement. Further, Rothadás' native Hungarian helps lend another sublime layer of the unique to what is arguably the year's best dark-horse death metal recording...recognize or regret!

Fully recognize exclusively HERE, courtesy of MetalBite.com. Preorder info can be found HERE at Me Saco Uno Ojo's Bandcamp. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:
