IN MOURNING: Watch the new video for 'At The Behest Of Night'; new release details

Swedish death metal wizards In Mourning have released a new single entitled "At The Behest Of Night", which is taken off from the band's upcoming release, "The Bleeding Veil", considered by the band to be their darkest album to date.

«The Bleeding Veil” is our most personal album», comments guitarist Tim Nedergård. «We have taken a deep dive into every detail and aspect of these songs. Reflection has been a keyword throughout the process. We have combined dark and abstract elements, and still been influenced by our earlier Swedish melodic death metal sound.»

EVIL DAMN premiere new track at MetalBite.com - features members of GOAT SEMEN

Today, Peruvian death-cult Evil Damn premiere the new track "Beast of Rlyeh" at heavily trafficked web-portal MetalBite.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's  long-awaited debut album, Necronomicon, set for international release on October 29th via Hells Headbangers  on CD format; the vinyl version will follow next year. Hear Evil Damn's "Beast of Rlyeh" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

During the year when the pestilent winds of chaos begin to creep through the corners of the world and spread the harbinger of an age of hopelessness and doom over the earth heralded by choirs chanting arcane curses...an old malediction is evoked through some possessed souls of down under among high mountains and the sands of deserts…all taking form since the early years of this millenium, in the shape of some abusive and viciously grotesque and obscure form of death metal: Evil Damn.

Inspired by the old Metal of Death of a golden era when men ruled with powerful riffs, crushing drums, and assassin guitar solos alongside agonizing and obscure vocalizations, Evil Damn bring back the old pestilence of true DEATH METAL from the depths of the underground, giving form to cruel and chaotic chants of desolation and misfortune that frame lyrics inspired by the old death cult and the Lovecraftian pantheon of atrocity!

Hailing from Lima, Peru, Evil Damn was formed in the year 2004 when veteran musicians like Mario Romanet (Psicorragia), Ordep and Zemog (Disinter), and Neyra and Satyricon (Goat Semen) decided to give shape to this abomination. A few months later, they released their hailed Through Black Abysses demo, which made a big impact in their national scene. As years passed, in 2008, Evil Damn released a split CD with Japan's Abigail and, more years later, in 2014, a well-received 7" EP, Black Effigy, through Hells Headbangers.

Some years in sepulchral silence passed as Evil Damn started to compose the damnations which now comprise their LONG-awaited debut album, Necronomicon. Conceived during the last years previous to the worldwide pest and finally committed to studio tape during 2019 and 2020, Necronomicon introduces promising drum-crusher D. Porturas, and the band around him duly deliver a riot of violence that can only come from Peru. This is 100% uncut South American madness, rendered in robustly clear-yet-crushing form: brutality, darkness, and chaos colliding head-on and drowning the listener in an epic descent of diabolical evil. Not for nothing are they monikered Evil Damn, and Necronomicon proves, without a doubt, that whether this album was delivered in 1991 or 2021, evil metal will ALWAYS be eternal!

The soundtrack to the process of extinction of the human species has arrived - Evil Damn's Necronomicon!

Hear the next sounds of that soundtrack with the brand-new track "Beast of Rlyeh" exclusively HERE, courtesy of MetalBite.com. Hear the first sounds of that soundtrack with the previously revealed "The Curse" HERE at Hells Headbangers' Bandcamp, where the album can also be preordered. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

Wolves Among Us - Hollow Gloom

The metalcore quintet WOLVES AMONG US, hailing from Aalborg, Denmark, are positively known and recognized for their ability to cleverly and smoothly combine the heavy with the pop-ish. They are now back and ready with 11 fresh new songs, which will be released through their coming sophomore album ‘Hollow Gloom’:

“The coming album is a musical depiction of the various struggles we face in life. Personal, societal and metal struggles are the main themes on this record. Despite the apparent desperation in the songs, the underlying theme is one of hope”, vocalist Jimmy Bertelsen muses.

Through the years, the quintet has shared the stage with many of the Danish metal scene’s top players such as Unseen Faith, Daze of June, Cold Night For Alligators, and more. With the release of their debut album ‘Collapse’, they amassed over 500 k streams across streaming platforms as well as being added to Spotify official playlists such as New Core, New Metal Tracks and more.

WOLVES AMONG US are now getting ready to release their sophomore album ‘Hollow Gloom’, which has been produced and mastered by Chris Kreutzfeldt (CABAL, Daze of June, Ghost Iris). The quintet has been working on this album for quite some time, which has resulted in kicking it up a notch when it comes to quality and ambition.

The coming album ‘Hollow Gloom’ will be released on November 19 through Prime Collective.

Mescaleros - No Fear No Limits (The Fish Factory 2021) (Review by Didac "Metallian" López)

The fourth work of Mescaleros has finally been released,
"No Fear No Limits". As I mentioned to Amadeo a few days ago, this fourth album for me is the best to date. I think that this stop with the pandemic has given them more time to elaborate it, they have captured all their influences and creativity.
From their first song "Dreams" they start with that Rock and Roll to which we are accustomed.
"The Feeling" has a catchy chorus and a great guitar solo that gives a glimpse of where the shots are going. It is followed by "Away" and "So Many Clouds" that begins with a distorted voice and a piano base and A chorus of those that you do not forget. It is followed by "Nights Is Where I Belong", The Dark Of My Soul "giving way to" Invincible "with another masterful guitar solo.
"Wiser" is another song that does not go out of your head, and with another great chorus.
"Light My Way" follows the same path as the previous ones- And finally "Sueños" acoustic adaptation of his first song "Dreams ·
I really liked the inclusion of keyboards in some of the songs,
Recorded and produced by Manu Reno at "Rusty Soul Studios.
Mescaleros are:
Amadeo Digón: Voice
Alfonso Digón: Guitar
Manu Reno: Bass
Sergio Gavin: Drums
The album has been released by The Fish Factory label

My rating 9/10

VETERANS get all tech with an awesome 360° video for their track Old Sour - recorded live at 4th Wall Studios in Singapore.

Old Sour showcases VETERANS signature groove and thrash metal sensibilities - driven by the rhythm of the drums and the huge bass tones intertwined with thrashing guitars and pissed-off vocals. Veterans' debut album Fake Quiet and Peace is available now on all major platforms. It was recorded in Singapore by Leonard Soosay at Snakeweed Studios, mixed by Jesse Gander of Rain City Recorders (3 Inches of Blood, Subhumans, Anciients), and mastered by the grammy-winning Alan Douches from West West Side Music (Mastodon, Dillinger Escape Plan, Kvelertak).

Line-up:
Kike Valderrama - Vocals
Neil Halliday - Drums
Matt Hughes - Guitar
Martin Vlaskovsky - Guitar
Badr Fadil - Bass

Bio:
Veterans are grizzled, graying rockers with both feet in the  grave. Fronted by the deplorable Kike Valderrama (Headcrusher, Sol de Sangre, Adarrak) and backed by a decaying rhythm section hanging on for dear life, these axe-weilding, bone-smashing motorheads exhumed a pungent mix of metal, punk, hardcore, and formaldehyde that keeps you headbanging til someone needs to change your sheets. Neil Halliday (Deus Ex Machina) bangs the drums, Matt Hughes and Martin Vlaskovsky swing the axes, and Badr Fadil wields the bass.
