MATRIARCHS is Premiering Explosive 1st Track from their Series of Singles “The Shape of C#nt$ to Come”

By having a well-defined background in the U.S. Metalcore/Hardcore scene MATRIARCHS wants to strengthen its position with every song they release. 'Ascendancy' is the first song of this explosive puzzle called "The Shape Of C#nts To Come".

The effervescent combination of both NU-Metal and Metalcore elements only adds points to the technicality chapter that makes you think of new expressions less explored by the band. However, it does not overshadow or alleviate the aggressiveness and constructive dynamics MATRIARCHS has displayed so far.

'Ascendancy' is an explosive introduction to what MATRIARCHS' sound will be heading. It remains to see. Anyhow, this first chapter will make you want to browse and listen to all the other songs that will follow.

MATRIARCHS is a metallic hardcore band formed by Ben Levi (Cutthroat, Fate Destroyed) in Los Angeles in 2012, inspired by his affinity for Beat Down and ‘90s New York metallic hardcore. Ben had played with drummer Alfred Santa Cruz, bassist Miguel Vasquez and guitarist Marty Cole in several other projects throughout the last decade so they were no strangers to getting creative together. After playing their first show to a packed house the boys never looked back. They've gone on to play with bands like Soulfly, Harm's Way, Disgrace, Bane, Backtrack, Sworn Enemy, and Vision Of Disorder.

An ambitious release produced by Nick Jett of Terror, and mastered by Matt Hyde (Lionheart, Hatebreed, Deftones), "Scandalous Jointz" fused together with the visual aesthetic and presentation of more thought-provoking heavy acts with the sonic ferocity and energy of hardcore. A few national festivals and two tours later saw the band taking a hiatus and reflecting on what the general direction and purpose of the band would be.

In 2018 MATRIARCHS parted ways with vocalist Richard Barthel. After teaming up with Jeremy Valentyne and Brandon Wolfe to produce their new release, adding veteran Carlos Pagan to the lineup on guitar, and meeting new vocalist K Enagonio during the pandemic, the band found the new fire it needed. In K the band finds its truest voice. Over the quarantine, they wrote their second full-length, "Year of the Rat", released last fall through KnucklehedzINC and Upstate Records.

Theirs follow to that effort, a stream series entitled "The Shape Of C#nts To Come", will be released this October.

RFL Records - RFL Records Inks Shallowpoint To A Worldwide Deal; Latest Single and Video "Tell Me"

Shallowpoint, Knoxville, Tennessee's powerhouse of modern power rock, have inked a worldwide deal with RFL Records. The band is gearing up with a massive launch into 2022 with a brand new album in the works.

Shallowpoint is a 4-piece hard rock band based out of Knoxville, TN, that was formed and began playing original music around 2008. Consisting of founders Heather Shallowpoint (bass) and Chuck Point (guitar/vocals, the band has recently added Dustin Bolt (guitar/vocals) and Matthew Bobo (drums) to round out the quartet. Shallowpoint’s sound is distinct so it’s no surprise that each member’s influences vary; from modern hard rock influences, classic rock and rock alternative,  there is something for everyone. Their songs range from the metal tune “Fractured”, to a more commercial sounding rock song “Complicate” both of which spotlight the diversity that this band brings to the music universe. Bringing a rock-solid lineup, their LP titled "Infringement" was released and was a pillar of what rock music should be.
The band has released several music videos, each of which can be considered nothing short of masterpieces as they were produced, shot and edited entirely by the band itself.

Shallowpoint have been in the studio with Grammy nominated and Dove Award winning producer Travis Wyrick (P.O.D, Pillar and 10 years) and are currently scheduled to release a new Album by spring of 2022.

Heather Shallowpoint (Bass) expresses excitement for the bands future with RFL:

"I am sooo excited to have met Jon and Doug at RFL Records!  We have searched for a label for a long time. We just really click with these guys and are very excited to see what the future holds!"

Chuck Point (Vocals) reiterates Heather's excitement:

"I am very excited to go on this new venture with RFL Records!  We are happy to have people behind us who believes in us!"

Jon Marchewka (Marhefka) RFL Records CEO states:

"We are extremely happy to have Shallowpoint with us at RFL Records. I was blown away by the energy of the band and their hunger to succeed. I look for big things from them in 2022 and beyond.

The band is no novice to the "Live" scene either having already shared the stage with music heavy hitters such as Sevendust, Sick Puppies, Flaw, Tantric, Fuel, Hell Yeah, and many more. They have also played many major rock festivals such as Gig It Rock Fest, Rock Fest Caddot, WI, Loud- N-Lima and Blue Ridge Rock Fest (Main Stage). This year for Shallowpoint is looking very promising, and they are among the top of the ranks when it comes to popularity in both rock and metal genres. If this band gains as much ground in 2022 as they are doing this year, Shallowpoint will be a household name and will be rocking audiences around the world. They have made a fan out of one of the toughest music critics, now it’s time for you to experience the musical journey known as Shallowpoint. Buckle up cause it’s a wild ride!

HYDROGYN - The Boiling Point - Deluxe Edition (RFL Records)

HYDROGYNThe Boiling Point - Deluxe EditionRFL RecordsRelease: 1 October 2021

Hydrogyn takes it to the Boiling Point and re-launches their latest album with a deluxe edition - new album art, poster, plus the never before released song "Hostage," which was recorded at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Founder and guitarist Jeff Westlake has surrounded himself with an all-new lineup for Hydrogyn’s latest release, the band’s first since 2017. Westlake and bandmates Holly Hines Freed (vocals), Ryan Stepp (guitar), Jacob Freed (bass) and Scot Clayton II (drums) draw inspiration from all of their collective influences to create a fresh sound that will melt your speakers. From the scorching rockers such as “Damaged Goods" and “Sweet Addiction,” to the mellow and deep emotions of "Hostage" (Only Available on the Deluxe Edition) the band is sounding bigger, better and tighter than ever. Everything about this new album is hot, from the title to the last guitar lick. You aren’t going to want to miss this!

Formed in January 2004, Hydrogyn quickly took the music world by storm and quickly landed sponsorship deals with beverage giants Budweiser and Pepsi.
With a full 18 months of touring and putting out their own, self-produced album in 2004, the band landed a recording contract with the great Michael Wagner. Upon entering his Wire World Studio based in Nashville, Tennessee the band set out to record what was to become a multi-Billboard charting release in their 2006 effort "Bombshell."
After the release of "Bombshell," the band embarked on a tour of Europe in September and around the world that October.
Over the next eight years, Hydrogyn, continued to turn out products on a yearly basis with other Billboard charting successes to go along with a consistent string of live dates.
In 2014, original vocalist Julie Westlake left and the band went on hiatus for a much needed break and re-evaluation of the band by Jeff Westlake.
At the end of the year the band brought in Erica Parrott to take over the lead vocal duties and a whole new energy and the release "Redemption" took form.
This line up of Parrott, Boggs, Sammons, Cardilino and Westlake never played a show together due to unfortunate events. Lead vocalist, Erica Parrot was attacked by a dog and her recovery set the entire project back into a hiatus.
In 2019 Parrott left the band and Jeff Westlake commenced the search for a new vocalist and targeted Holly Hines Freed. Freed had been a decade long friend and client of Westlake's. It was the singer that he originally wanted after Julie’s departure, but Freed was involved in her own project and the planets did not align at the time.
Forward to 2020, with Hines Freed accepting the Lead Vocalist position, the band was once again repopulated by Westlake. With Holly on vocals, her husband and bass player Jacob Freed in tow, Ryan Stepp on guitar and vocals, Scot Clayton II on drums and vocals and Westlake again on guitar and vocals, Hydrogyn was revitalized and set to take on the world.
What came out of the band and the writing sessions for the new album, "The Boiling Point" is considered by Westlake to be the band's strongest album to date. The band has recorded a live album due in December 2021 and are currently working a brand new album for 2022.

Nothing Exists - "A Creature and Creation"

"A Creature and Creation" is an 8 track instrumental album that combines multiple styles of metal and electronic music into a unique genre of its own. The front of the mix layers synthesizer melodies and chugging rhythm guitars dropped to an interesting "ACEAACE" tuning to create thick, fast-moving chord progressions heard especially in tracks "I, the Hideous Creature" and "The Descent". Backed with clanky groovy bass, punchy drums, and symphonic elements to give it a full and powerful sound.

In a nutshell, the theme behind the album is "learning to appreciate our flawed selves and universe"

ANTI RITUAL: Copenhagen-Based Hardcore/Crust Act Confirms Late October Release Of Debut LP, Expel The Leeches, Through Indisciplinarian; “Monetary Man” Video/Single And Preorders Issued

Copenhagen, Denmark’s ANTI RITUAL returns with their second offering, and first full-length album, Expel The Leeches. Confirming the LP for late October release through Indisciplinarian, the band today unveils an official video for the lead single, “Monetary Man,” alongside preorders and other details.

Expel The Leeches delivers ten tracks of churning, pissed off, blackened hardcore, delivering a caustic commentary on the state of the world. While ANTI RITUAL draws on death metal, black metal, and grind as well as hardcore to create its furious aesthetic, the band thematically emphasizes the potential of aggressive music as being a political endeavor, and furthermore, its function as a cathartic cleanser for those involved. Topics like modern capitalism, the many guises worn by the rising fascism, the fear of environmental collapse, and the world we are leaving behind for future generations fuels this furious, yet dynamic record. The central drive behind the songs has once again been to find a constructive outlet for the less than optimistic outlook greeting anyone who cares to look up from their screens. These songs were written by ANTI RITUAL to help cope and to help put words to what surrounds us all.

As with ANTI RITUAL’s 2014 eponymous debut EP, Expel The Leeches is not meant as a pessimistic testament though. The sheer vitriol and passion poured into the making of these songs stem from a desire to make positive use of our anger and frustration. It is a way to ward off total apathy and the slow but certain descent into the indifference that covers every inch of postmodern society. An apathy that now threatens our very existence as a species.

Expel The Leeches was recorded and produced by ANTI RITUAL, mastered at Audiosiege by Brad Boatright (Nails, Sleep, From Ashes Rise), and is completed with artwork by Morten Grønnegaard and Nikolaj Borg.

The album’s first single, “Monetary Man” is a savage track showcasing ANTI RITUAL’s furious fusion of extreme styles. The song is backed by a video created by Morten Grønnegaard, starkly displaying the consequences and social unrest caused by the scavenging behavior of an unregulated market and the humans behind it.

Yesterday I received this tribute to Judas Priest from Russia, performed by Catovaria & Friends.

42 songs of the band interpreted in Russian, which has impressed me a lot, songs elaborated to the

perfection, of which you can't say any about. As a Judas Priest fan that I am, I have

most tributes to the band and I could tell you it's one of the best I've heard. I love them

how the songs sound in this language, My score 9.5 / 10.
