Xtreem Music is proud to have again in our ranks the legendary Canadian thrashers AGGRESSION, who we already released their 3rd album in 2016, and we re-released their classic debut from '87 that same year and now come back to sign with us for the release of their brand new EP "Field of Nightmares", as well as their next album, and different re-issues more. The new EP will be released on CD and Digital formats on October 26th, through Xtreem Music, and most probably also in vinyl format later on. Formed in 1984, AGGRESSION are without a doubt one of the most legendary Thrash Metal bands from Canada. Their (official) debut album "The Full Treatment" is a classic of the genre, although actually their 1st album "Forgotten Skeleton" was recorded in '86 and remained unreleased until 2004. The band did split up in '89 until in 2014 they officially formed and since then they have released two albums ("Fragmented Spirit Devils" in 2016 and "Feels Like Punk, Sounds Like Thrash" in 2018), a compilation with their demos and this new EP "Field of Nightmares", which will lead to their next 5th album in 2022. WOLVES AMONG US PRESENT THEIR SECOND SINGLE 'CHIMERA' The Danish metalcore quintet WOLVES AMONG US are positively known and recognized for their ability to cleverly and smoothly combine the heavy with the pop-ish. Today they are ready to present their second single 'Chimera', from the coming sophomore album ‘Hollow Gloom’:  “'Chimera’ is a song about retaking control of your life after you’ve suffered the most and turning it around to become a better version of yourself. I personally had a vision to make the song feel uplifting and full of hope. Combining the melodic and heavy guitars with Jimmy's vocals has in my opinion achieved our goal”, guitarist Casper Mortensen explains.  WOLVES AMONG US are getting ready to release their sophomore album, which has been produced and mastered by Chris Kreutzfeldt (CABAL, Daze of June, Ghost Iris). The quintet has been working on this album for quite some time, which has resulted in kicking it up a notch when it comes to quality and ambition. The coming album ‘Hollow Gloom’ will be released on November 19 through Prime Collective. The Cult of Sorrow is back with a vengeance!   EMPYREAL SORROW seemed to emerge from the void with their debut album PRÆY in 2020. And yet - with excited reactions hailing from both new fans and the media, the band successfully showcased their intention and ability to leave a memorable footprint in the Melodic Death Metal scene.   The new 4-track EP HARM(ONY) WITHIN is a perfect continuation of the concept that they initiated with PRÆY. Heavily influenced by the Swedish Melodic Death Metal tradition, the band keeps sticking to their addictive combination of catchy riffs and melodies, aggressive shouting and the dark lyrical content. All the while giving the listener new stuff to chew on with a grim electronic remix of A Night Without Armour (from debut album PRÆY) by the artist LXEKR.   All new songs are direct follow-ups to the recording sessions for the first album. So nourishing from the energy and spirit of a debut band’s typical nothing-to-lose-situation, there were no outside expectations that could have blurred the songwriting - the band just followed their own set of rules. And the main rule is - the band’s got to love it.   With this mindset the addition of female guest vocalist LizKiller Queen from the spanish band ARCHETYPE X on the track „Heartfelt Disease“ and the remix Night Re-Armoured by LXEKR came totally natural. Both artists are breathing the spirit of the Cult of Sorrow and their contributions are showing the potential of EMPYREAL SORROW’s music to grow and develop further. The band takes the Death-Metal-wheel, demolishes it completely and puts it back together again in their very own way, creating an individual sound with a lot of interesting facets. Their musical construct is born out of aggression paired with ear-catching melody and a sometimes Black Metal-like atmosphere; the music is punchy, dynamic and drills directly into your head. Raw energy flows through every single song: boosting the urge to bang your head until total escalation. Definitely a band you should consider listening to.
