MORBID MESSIAH stream new CHAOS RECORDS EP at "Deaf Forever" magazine's website

Today, Mexican death metal cult Morbid Messiah streams their brand-new EP, Disgorged in the Coffin, at Deaf Forever magazine's website. Set for international release on September 24th via Chaos Records on CD and cassette tape formats - the 12" vinyl version shall follow later - hear Morbid Messiah's Disgorged in the Coffin in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Hailing from Mexico, Morbid Messiah was formed in 2015 by guitarist Roberto Trejo, vocalist José Rivas, and drummer Anubis Sandoval after they moved from Cancún to Guadalajara, Jalisco. Morbid Messiah started to play without a bassist until September 2016, when Guillermo López joined the band.

Morbid Messiah's debut EP, In the Name of True Death Metal, was released in October 2016 by the band independently on CD and in January 2017 by Godz Ov War Productions in a cassette tape edition limited to 100 copies. Their debut album, Demoniac Paroxysm, was recorded on April 2018 at MAT Studio (as the first release) and released by Memento Mori on CD and by Unholy Prophecies on vinyl in two different colors.

Morbid Messiah played in the first edition of Total Death Over Mexico City alongside Dead Congregation, Atomicide, Evil Priest, Of Feather And Bone, Antebellum 666, Infernal Conjuration, and Ascended Dead.

Anubis Sandoval left the band in 2018 due to personal differences. Saúl Anzaldo joined the band as an official member on March 2019.

Demoniac Paroxysm was released for the very first time on cassette in January 2021 by Goatthrone Records and a CD digipack reissue by Ablaze Productions with extra live songs and re-mastered music. In the Name of True Death Metal is in progress to be re-released on cassette by Life After Death Productions.

About Morbid Messiah's forthcoming Disgorged in the Coffin, Trejo says, "This one will be heavier, deeper, and will contain more sickness and madness than the other recordings. It will contain six songs, each one with a lot of meaning for Morbid Messiah and a very raw production in artwork and music engineering."

Indeed, Trejo is true to his word: Disgorged in the Coffin is a gutsfucking slab of sick-sick-sick, maddening DEATH METAL mania. Pure and proud, this is Metal of Death for the most maniacal of maniacs, by the most maniacal of maniacs; Morbid Messiah, if anything, have gotten filthier and more barbaric as time goes on. No "progression" here, only devolution - become Disgorged in the Coffin!

Fully devolve exclusively HERE, courtesy of Deaf Forever, Germany's defenders of the true. Cover artwork, courtesy of Dahmer Art, and tracklisting are as follows:

Biography:

Originally from Rosario, Argentina, guitarist and singer Pablo Vitantonio is the founding member from the band. Bangkok started in 2014 as a one man project, recording the demos and preproduction for what later become the debut album ‘Señales’.

After playing in some local bands playing guitar, Pablo decided to start writing material for the unnamed project yet, taking both guitar and vocal parts.

After spending a few months writing songs he decided to recruit the members for the project. An old shool friend, Luciano Rubí, left his previous band to join Pablo. Then, they started to look for another guitar player and a bassist too. Luciano García and Sergio Alvarez were those missing members.

Pablo suggested that the name of the band should be only one word, and sound the same in Spanish and English. Founding a name for something always is a hard job, but in this case, as Luciano García propose, the named the band Bangkok. With all the material written, they started to reharse in April 2014 and by October they took the stage and began to play anywhere and everywhere in the city.  By January 2015, they entered the studio to record the debut album at ‘El Hombre Trackpad’ studio with Santiago Pagura as the producer. All the songs were already tested an played live, and the recording process took 3 months. 10 songs and the album called ‘Señales’ was released in October 2015 Icarus Music Records. Once the album was released, they continued playing many shows, ending the year on a Hard Rock Fest in Buenos Aires, at Vorterix theatre.

The band played all 2016 supporting the album in Rosario, Buenos Aires, and other small cities of Argentina, sometimes opening and, sometimes as headliners, and 2017 too. By July 2017 they supported The Dead Daisies on their gig at Rosario and in November they opened to Freedom Call at the show at Uniclub, Buenos Aires. By the end of that year, the band recorded the Live EP at McNamara, Rosario, and it was released in march 2018.  By mid 2018, the band started to write new material and to play the new songs live. The intention was to enter the studio again, but due to some schedule problems, it wasn`t possible. Finally, the date to start recording the follow up album to ‘Señales’ was August 2019, with Santiago Pagura as the producer again, and it took six months from start to the final touches on mastering.

The band parted ways with Icarus Music and signed a new contract with DBN Argentina for the release of ‘Locura’. The album was ready for the release, but due to the COVID situation, the label decided to postpone it. The new release date was 14th August.

HUNDRED HEADLESS HORSEMEN - "APOKALEPSIA" (Inverse Records)

Listen "APOKALEPSIA"

Hundred Headless Horsemen is a psychedelic death metal band hailing from Helsinki, Finland. Their first full-length, concept album titled “Apokalepsia” was released through Inverse Records on 21 May 2021.

The album has been received very positively by publications that cater to left-field metal tastes. No Clean Singing blog wrote ”...think of HHH as the Death Metal equivalent of their more “blackened” countrymen in Oranssi Pazuzu, a band with whom they not only share a love of sludgy grooves and psychotropic sounds, but also an almost pathological aversion to playing by the rules.” Tempelores webzine stated: "Apokalepsia is a masterwork and worthy of multiple re-listens to peel back the layers and find some clarity." More reviews for the album can be found from: https://hundredheadlesshorsemen.com/press/

The band blends together different subgenres of metal from current and past time frames to create their own unique brand of psychedelic death metal. Their musical approach mirrors the background narrative of the album that moves in multiple time and space dimensions based on fragments of scientific articles found about a formerly unknown psychoneurological condition: Apokalepsia.

Apokalepsia is a group of symptoms characterized by recurrent seizures. These episodes can vary from brief and nearly undetectable interludes to long periods of vigorous shaking, hyperventilation, suffocating despair and a failure to function in a world defined by its imminent devastation. Many victims also describe vivid visual and auditory hallucinations during apokaleptic seizures. The journal entries of these formerly unknown cases tell much about the inner struggles of the victims:

“The momentum that upholds life comes from death, darkness and decay. No matter how delusional we become, our efforts will never be grand enough to transcend this circular motion. In stark contrast to nature, the economy was always a fiction. A fiction that nevertheless had very real consequences to our lives, which have led us to the profound misinterpretation of its true form. The system we had built long ago is now eating us alive.”

“Many of us had bright ideas, but in the end, our egos were always standing between the ideas and actually living them. Were we ever able to remind ourselves that the whole spectrum of life upon this earth was just as precious as our own? Or did we merely fall back to building fortresses against our own fears?”

Apokalepsia was composed, performed, produced by Hundred Headless Horsemen. The band remains anonymous, but was joined by Mikko Suikkanen on electric violin and Saergu on synthesizers in “The Road”, as well as Titus on percussion on “The Road” and “Spleen”. The album was recorded by Valtteri Virolainen and Titus, mixed by Valtteri Virolainen and mastered by Magnus Lindberg Productions. Photographer and visual artist Karl Ketamo (https://www.karlketamo.com) worked with us to create a visual form for our concept.
