Minus Life: Brisbane's Metallers Release The Official Video For The Song Order Disorder

Australian extreme heavy metal act MINUS LIFE unleashes the music video ORDER DISORDER, from their forthcoming album CONTORTED REALITY which will be released on 1 October 2021. This is a dark metal journey blending a mixture of melodic / thrash / death / prog metal influences with an accompaniment of orchestral sound being referred to as a cinematic element, MINUS LIFE delivers on their first full production film experience.

ORDER DISORDER lyrically is about the fall of mankind, earth, the control of governments over its citizens. The greed of this system, trade deals, money, and power, comes across as a priority before the sustainability of our earth and humanity itself.

ORDER DISORDER pummels the listener’s ear with tight, hypnotic, polyrhythmic riffage only to then take the audience on a technical musical interlude featuring soaring vocal melodies and an emotive guitar solo. This moment of reprieve is shattered immediately as the song shifts into the crushingly heavy outro, which is sure to get heads banging and cement this song as a permanent staple in the band’s live repertoire.

TRAVIS HENDERSON (Drums/ Orchestral) on ORDER DISORDER - “To me, this is the beginning of the new MINUS LIFE sound. Order Disorder was the first song to be written with the orchestral element in mind. It means a lot to me and is one of my favorites. The contrast between brutal and melodic on this track is a real highlight for me personally”.

Bio:
Minus Life formed in 2002 with the common purpose to create a brand of extreme music, that funnelled the essence of their influences, but had its own unique sound. In 2004, the band released their first album 'Eternal Urban Megacide' to rave reviews. Minus Life quickly rose to become one of the biggest metal bands out of Brisbane touring nationally.

Their brand of metal was widely embraced and saw them share the stage with Arch Enemy, Slayer, The Haunted, Dark Tranquility, Nevermore, Mastadon, Psycroptic, Alarum, Alchemist, Blood Duster and many more. Minus Life also played large Australian festivals such as Big Day Out (2007), Metal for the Brain (2005 & 2006), Brute Force Festival, Overcranked (2006) and Market Day (2006).

Minus Life disbanded in 2007 but came together again in 2018 with a sold out return show in Brisbane to a 300 capacity venue. The band released a single 'Manipulation of the Masses' in 2019 and backed this up with a festival return at Dead of Winter (2019) and sold out double headlining show in 2020. The time has now come for the next chapter in the Minus Life evolution. With the impending release of their sophomore return album 'Contorted Reality' in late
2021, the new incarnation is ready to rise once more.

INFRARED – FROM THE BLACK SWAMP (Review by Varg The Mighty)

Today’s review is of Canadian Thrash Metal band Infrared’s upcoming new album, out on September 30^th.

With approximately an hour of classic Thrash, this album obviously includes some catchy rebellious choruses and powerful riffs to mosh at. Taking a pretty Americanized approach that brings to mind the Bay Area scene, the band produces fun, uplifting and straightforward yet violent songs with a touch of Canadian malice.

Completed with shrieking solos and occasional epic passages, the full-length has notable songs such as “No Masters, No Gods” or “Eat Your Own”. Fans of the old-school grandeur will enjoy this one.

I recommend this album to fans of American Thrash Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
