Today’s review is of American Heavy Metal band Ignitor’s new album.
Following the style displayed in previous releases with some improvement, the band delivers once again some good Heavy Metal with some hints of Power and Speed Metal.
On this album we receive some pretty nice and catchy songs like the title track or “Secrets Of The Ram”, but all the album is pretty decent. Although the songs are quite similar and somewhat monotonous, there are numerous influences that make them quite complete, like modern and classic Judas Priest, Scorpions, Exciter, Gamma Ray and even Candlemass. Each track has its nice melodies and good riffs, some leaning to a more extreme kind of Heavy Metal while others remain more old-school, but there isn’t much innovation, with some classic Metal being delivered in its place.
I recommend this album to fans of Heavy Metal, Speed Metal and Power Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.

Neptune is Widely considered by most heavy metal gurus as one of the best unsigned Epic Metal bands from Stockholm/Sweden in the 80’s. With an image and songwriting style like a cross between IRON MAIDEN, BLACK SABBATH and JUDAS PRIEST. The band has penned some great classic heavy metal tunes and managed to gain a cult status among demo collectors and underground metal fans around the globe.
Since the release of the album “Land of Northern”, has the band recorded several videos and also the EP, ”The last flight of the Rafven”. With that said, the band released late 2020 their full-length album. ”Northern Steel”. To make this a real stellar release, the band decided to invite a bunch of friends to show the world what metal or steel from Nordic is all about.

Northern Steel is a great album by Neptune, capturing classic metal and giving it a Viking twist for all.
The metal goes well in the ear, I think of a mixture of ACCEPT with pathos, RUNNING WILD after UJR, IRON MAIDEN, the bombast from MANOWAR and all that mixed with Swedish influences, this mix comes across as awesome and stands out pleasantly from some other releases…
If Sabaton is too belligerent for you or Hammerfall too commercial, Amaranthe too poppy, you should definitely listen to this album from Sweden.
