Guitarist Chris Steberl has been playing music for over 45 years starting at the age of 8 years old. He has played in numerous bands over the years finally forming his own instrumental band Alcazar back in 1988. They were the first and only band to ever win the local Battle of the Bands WITHOUT a singer!
In 2003 he released 'Reasons for a Decade' with Lion Music out of Europe. The CD garnered great reviews from all over the world and he followed up with the sophomore Lion Music release 'Chasin VooDoo'. Chris went on to win the Sam Ash " Best In Shred " contest inColumbus, Ohio and has supported such acts as Dream Theater , Greg Howe , Tony Macalpine , and Steve Vai over the span of his career. He has also been on numerous compilation CD's, the most noted one beingWarmth in the Wilderness : A Tribute to Jason Becker where he covered " Opus Pocus " which received praise in Guitar Worldmagazine's review of the album.

Chris finished up his latest instrumental album Project Alcazar: Lost In Centralia bringing in ex Fates Warning drummer Mark Zonder 's talents along with virtuoso keyboardist Caleb Hutlsar who helped co write all the songs. The new album ' Lost In Centralia' was released September 2020 on Guitar One Records USA.

Mike Fulkerson - Demon King Malefic (Industrial Metal)

Michael Fulkerson brings Hard Rock and Metal to the masses with his albums Demon King Malefic and Demon King Malfaeus. Pulsating through the speakers while awakening the most thrilling part of one’s senses. Many of his songs have a very theatrical and cinematic feel to them, sounding a bit dark as an added twist. Imagine an epic battle playing out with “Set up by the police,” and “Don’t Blame Her.”

On the flip side, the arrangement in “LIL Miss Spooky Boo,” brings a more demure style to the table. While “Love Conquers All” and “Religiously persecuted” are audible delights that have an almost medieval vibe to them with a regal tone.

LIL Miss Spooky Boo rips open experimental territory with a fleeting intro of Seraphic highs which makes Fulkerson’s high vocals astounding. It is perfect for aesthetic driven playlists. Hailing from Gothenburg, Nebraska, 45 years old and is a solo artist, he goes against the grain in all he does with his music. 

Born premature, Michael Fulkerson has had to face an uphill battle with his hearing impaired in both ears. Despite that, he found a love for music early on in the first grade and has never strayed far from it. As he got older, various genres peaked his interest but his heart ultimately always went back to hard rock. A proud metalhead, Michael Fulkerson has never been one to settle for the norm. Going against the grain in all he does, including his music, is where he feels most comfortable.

Hell-Born and Odium Records present the 2 nd single "Blakk Metal" from the new album "Natas Liah" , which is announced for 26th of January. Adam “Nergal” Darski took a part in this track as a backing vocalist. “Blakk Metal” is a tribute song to the old black / death metal scene. We remind you that Hell-Born returns 12 years after their last album. The band was started in 1996 by Behemoth co-founder Baal and Les , also a former Behemoth musician as well as a member of Damnation . There are IX songs on "Natas Liah" - old school, black death metal with a bit of melodies typical for the group. The band confirms that it is by far definitely the best album in their career.

Recordings took place at Creme de la Creme studio, and Haldor Grunberg , known for his collaboration with Behemoth, handled the mixes and mastering.

Serpent Lord (GR) New Single “The Gospel Of Judas” & Lyric Video!

One year after their latest release, the Greek heavy metallers Serpent Lord (GR) released a new single, entitled “The Gospel of Judas”. The song is an introduction to a new chapter for the band, which will come with their upcoming album. 

As the band states: “The Gospel of Judas” is inspired by the Apocrypha Gospel of Judas, which was found and given to publicity for the first time in 2006. Serpent Lord (GR) presents a different approach on Judas’ character, not as a traitor but as Christ’s favorite student. Judas executes the Divine Plan, in order to lead Christ to his resurrection. However, Judas hangs himself because he felt guilty, which shows, according to the band, that the he was manipulated by God and that’s why he is remembered as a traitor and not as a savior, as he should be. 

“The Gospel of Judas” was released along with a lyric video. 


The song was recorded during the summer of 2020 at Infected Studios, with Nash Makridis participating as a session drummer.

“The Gospel of Judas” is a fast tempo heavy metal song with atmospheric elements and death/black metal vibe at some parts. “The Gospel of Judas” tells the story of a forgotten Gospel, a buried from the Church, Gospel. It’s a different story from the one we already know about Judas. A story that could ruin all the Christian Church. Maybe Judas wasn’t a traitor. Maybe he just did God’s plan. Maybe he was betrayed and manipulated by God. The song is about betrayal and manipulation, not only the one we receive from God, but from humans, too.

Stockholm Sweden’s ‘Story Metal’ trio PRESSURE have delivered yet again with another riveting and mesmerizing track from their up-and-coming album. Right from the opening laughter and guitar riffs from the heavy guitars, the song just keeps your ears at attention and wanting more. Olof's growling but clear tone just grabs and brings you inside the track. This single release is from the trio's up and coming album which will be self released sometime late April, early May. 

WHAT YOU SEE (is what you get) the latest single from Pressure continues to express the ins-and-outs of life's pressures. This particular track relays the message of how society perceives people. The man centered in the song is strong within himself. The track pushes the genre of music Pressure intends it to, which they are calling "STORY METAL". 

 “Story metal combines characteristics of traditional heavy metal with elements of melodic rock, with a lot of focus on the vocals! The beat varies as the mood of the song is written to reflect a true experience, challenge, emotion or occasion. “- Simon Forsell.

The term Story metal was first used in 2020 by the Swedish story metal band Pressure who plays story metal with three guitars and recorded drums and bass!

Story Metal definitely describes the concept of their songs and for the up-and-coming album.

The Band

Who are Pressure I hear you ask? Well if you had to tag them with a genre the one that fits best is a ‘melodic rock’ but they’re so much more than that. Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden and with vocalist Olof Jönsson you can always guarantee soaring, athletic and committed vocals. Together with a twin guitar sound coming from songwriter and lead guitarist Simon “Siirpo” Forsell and Emil Salling. Their work often focuses and embraces the pressures felt from everyday existence. Their lyrics ably demonstrating that there are two sides to every story - the good and the bad. Every song has a double meaning and they truly see music as a tool to handle the different pressures thrown at us from the modern world. 

The band began their journey together in 2018, and since then they’ve worked tirelessly developing their sound and live performance, their aim? To make memories with their fans and to an epic musical soundtrack and develop the Story Metal genre.

A quote that can summarize their lyrics is: “How can you tell a story about life if you haven’t dared to live life to its fullest!

Disout announce debut album "MIEN" release details. New single premiere!

Poland's Disout have announced the release details of their upcoming album "MIEN", set to be released on February 8th, 2021. "MIEN" features 9 tracks with heavy riffs, powerful drums, atmospheric guitars and unique vocals from singer Darek.
