Skeleton Screen released new lyrics video

American Sludge/Post-Metal band Skeleton Screen released their new lyrics video for the song «Critical Decay» taken from the band debut EP «Conditions» that was released in August 2020. The release was recorded/mixed and mastered by Kyle Jones at "Sleeping Brotherhood Studios". Drums were recorded and performed by Adam Soucy.

Skeleton Screen was formed in 2019 in Denver, Colorado by Mark Johnston (Guitars, Bass, Vocals).

Three of these releases were splits with the concept being to present opposing styles within the Death Metal genre. ROYAL ANGUISH / THE RISEN: This collection begins with two tracks that were exclusively recorded for the vinyl release. Florida versus New York style Death Metal is what’s on hand. OBLATION / DERACINATION: Here we have Florida inspired Death Metal (by way of Texas) versus a Napalm Death influenced assault from Down Under. This version of “Death By Fire” was exclusively recorded for the 7” release and is far more brutal than the version on their debut album “Times Of Atrocity” that preceded it. FAITHFUL WITNESS / MANSOUL: East Coast Death Metal versus a blend of Florida Death Metal and Megadeth inspired Thrash riffing. FINAL PROPHECY: The sole non-split release. Both tracks are exclusive 7” remixes. These remixes were not included on the "Re-Awakening" released which we licensed to Roxx Records in 2018. KULTIKA – CAPRICORN WOLVES (Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Romanian Post Metal band Kultika’s upcoming album, out this January.

This release is very diverse, and it is centred in a kind of atmosphere that is rare to find in music. They have only been able to achieve this with a very wide set of influences, since you can appreciate hints of Death Metal, Atmospheric Black Metal, Jazz, Prog Rock, Psychedelic Rock and even Gothic Rock.

It is hard to choose a song that is better than the rest, for each has their own feeling and yet they bear a lot of similarities. Personally, I would’ve preferred the album to be presented as a single song, because even with the track lengths that oscillate between 6 and 10 minutes the music sounds as if it were cut short. The best way to describe this album would be considering it a mix of Ulcerate, Oranssi Pazuzu and Tool. This full-length is definitely complex and worthy of attention, it displays an interesting direction for music in this new decade that may be enjoyable to fans of soft and extreme sub-genres.

I recommend this album to fans of Progressive Metal and Post Metal. My rating is of 9/10.
