Smoking Tomatoes are a Roman band formed in 2013.
Composing something original is a real need for the four members who, after having
experimented with various solutions, have landed on the current musical proposal: a
modern Hard Rock inspired by the 80s contaminated by strong funk colors.
- Guitars with warm and pasty distortion, in the best Hard Rock tradition, which work
in the service of the band and above all of the groove, fundamental in the proposed
sound which is characterized precisely by the importance that the rhythmic section
assumes in involving the listener.
The influences that inspire and that made up the musical references for the four are
of the most varied, ranging from the great hard rock bands such as Guns n 'roses, Van
Halen, and Extreme, to more alternative bands such as Primus or the blues of Steve Ray
Vaughan, always remaining open to listening to different genres such as electronics and
funky in all its forms.
- The band recently released their self-made EP "Make the Choice", currently edited and
distributed by the Ghost Records Label and Crashsound Distribution. A work with 5 tracks
in which the band wants to show their personality and make their timbre recognizable in
anticipation of the complete album.
- The S. T. during this year are in fact at work in promoting their EP and are in the
meantime completing the new tracks that will make up the new work, immediately makin
g new changes but with a well-defined identity.
The band is currently busy preparing for the next live shows and participating in the
next (33 ^) edition of San Remo Rock.
