From the darkness, Executus rises.
The blackened thrash quartet from Adelaide, South Australia, has recently released its debut album The Black Throne Of Chaos Abandoned.
Executus bestows unto listeners a mean blend of death’s gory braveries, black metal’s profane whispers and the head-banging righteousness of traditional heavy metal, while The Black Throne Of Chaos Abandoned is comprised of 11 furious tracks of galaxy-crushing riffs and reality-warping blast beats.
For fans of Metallica, Sepultura, Skeletonwitch and Hellripper, Executus drummer Francis Pasadilla says, “There are a mix and match of influences all over the album” and it’s evident that the band has produced a record that will satisfy heavy music enthusiasts from all corners of the genre-hectogon.
Guitarist Adrian Donarski adds, “There is a little bit of everything in the album for anyone who loves heavy music. It doesn’t matter if you’re into thrash metal, black metal or melodic heavy metal, every song is a little different.”
Executus describe The Black Throne Of Chaos Abandoned as a “sonic apocalypse birthed from a multiversal gateway” and a “a cosmic war-cry, a saga of space-faring Vikings battling horrors beyond human comprehension,” so you know you’re going to be taken on a journey.
Adrian elaborates, “We are all a bunch of massive science fiction and fantasy nerds, so we really had a lot of fun incorporating these themes into the album.”
Each of the 11 tracks can be considered as a shattered bone in a forgotten ritual, blending Lovecraftian nightmares with bloodborne, blackened melodic thrash.
“We are ecstatic and extremely proud that this album came together so well,” Adrian gleams.
Now you are urged to step forward and fight alongside the warriors of Executus as they vanquish extradimensional gods, threatening to erase our universe from existence.
The Black Throne Of Chaos Abandoned is available now on Bandcamp, YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music. |
