Velcrocranes, progressive rock newcomers, released "Afterlife Pt. 2," the third single from their upcoming album ‘What If I Die’. Initially a jazz ensemble, the band found their true sound in progressive rock after discovering Porcupine Tree. "Afterlife Pt. 2" explores themes of existentialism and the impact of death on life’s choices, evolving from the instrumental bridge of "Afterlife Pt. 1." The track features intricate guitar solos and thunderous drumming, creating an immersive sonic landscape. Keyboard contributions by Adam Holzman of Steven Wilson’s band add depth to the song. The single was recorded by Vladimir Vorontsov at Flysound Studio, with drums by Ivan Muravskiy at Magic Mastering Studio, mixed by Junichi Murakawa, and mastered by Steve Kitch of The Pineapple Thief. The artwork was created by Carl Glover of Aleph Studio. "Afterlife Pt. 2" is for fans of Porcupine Tree, Riverside, and Pain Of Salvation.
