[ENG] In the middle of the MySpace era, Putrid Torso were created in 2000 and then, goodbye. They released a few songs, but as both Ion Santos (guitars, bass) and Igor Sánchez (vocals) joined the band Hopelessness, they were never heard from again.
At the beginning of 2022 they got the bug again and revived the project, recording the demo Prologue To Nowhere to prove that they could do things right. If at the beginning the band played primitive brutal death with some grind, now the Basque band plays an abominable brutal death, unstoppable, that will destroy the ears of any fan of Disavowed, Inveracity, Putridity, Dying Fetus, or Origin from the last era.
Always attentive to the most atrocious proposals, Pathologically Explicit Recordings didn’t take long to sign them for the release of Trails Of Hypnotized Human Veins, a first album that they began to gestate in a conscientious way in February 2023. In this album, Putrid Torso assure that “The lyrics are different from the typical brutal death and are directed towards an anti-capitalist and class struggle theme, where in a dystopian world the big corporations cruelly prey on the underprivileged people with few resources”.
To illustrate this nightmarish panorama, not far from our own, they have counted on Krzysztof Klingbein (Belphegor, ex-Vader) as session drummer, achieving a monstrous and spectacular album, recording the guitars at Ebola Room Studios, the bass at Pantus Etxea, the vocals at Txopo Studios, and counting on an impeccable mix and master via JFT Producciones. The cover artwork is the work of Dechristianize Art, and the logo and layout has been created by ART Dystopia.
Trails Of Hypnotized Human Veins is brutal death with brains, that exterminates everything in its path and in which Putrid Torso have given it all. This debut has nothing to envy to what the most laureate bands of the style release.
[SPA] En plena era MySpace, Putrid Torso se crearon en el 2000 y luego, adiós. Dejaron algunas canciones sueltas, pero al estar enrolados tanto Ion Santos (guitarra, bajo) como Igor Sánchez (voz) en la banda Hopelessness, ya nunca más se supo.
A principios de 2022 volvió a picarles el gusanillo y resucitaron el proyecto, grabando la demo Prologue To Nowhere para evidenciar que podían hacer las cosas bien. Si en un principio el grupo hacía un brutal death primitivo con algo de grind, ahora la banda vasca practica un brutal death abominable, imparable, que destruirá las orejas de cualquier seguidor de Disavowed, Inveracity, Putridity, Dying Fetus, o los Origin de la última época.
Siempre atentos a las propuestas más atroces, Pathologically Explicit Recordings no tardó en ficharles para la edición de Trails Of Hypnotized Human Veins, un primer álbum que empezaron a gestar de manera concienzuda en febrero de 2023. En éste, Putrid Torso aseguran que “Las letras se separan de las típicas del brutal death y van encaminadas hacia una temática anticapitalista y de lucha de clases, donde en un mundo distópico las grandes corporaciones se ceban de forma cruenta con la gente con pocos recursos, desfavorecida”.
Para ilustrar este panorama de pesadilla, no muy lejano del nuestro, han contado con Krzysztof Klingbein (Belphegor, exVader) como batería de sesión, consiguiendo un álbum monstruoso y espectacular, grabando las guitarras en Ebola Room Studios, el bajo en Pantus Etxea, las voces en los Txopo Studios, y contando con una impecable mezcla y master vía JFT Producciones. Por su parte, la portada es obra de Dechristianize Art, y su logo y layout los ha elaborado ART Dystopia.
Trails Of Hypnotized Human Veins es brutal death con cerebro, que extermina todo a su paso y en el que Putrid Torso lo han dado todo. Este debut nada tiene que envidiarle a lo que publican las formaciones más laureadas del estilo.
