[ENG] In July 2022, Barbarian Swords recorded, mixed and mastered two albums with Javi Félez at Moontower Studios (Deströyer 666, Teitanblood, Graveyard, Balmog, Empty, Körgull The Exterminator...). Not a double album or two pieces that complement each other, no... A pair of totally independent records, each with its own destructive and overwhelming nature.Through the Eternal Juggernaut Records label, and not without some controversy with another label that was to release the LP version, we now finally get the first of these works: Anti-Dogma Megaforce.
Following in the wake of their previous opus Totemic Anal Turbofucker, the Catalan band now enters another level of abomination by polishing the riffs and deepening the composition, especially thanks to Panzer, who has taken the lead in this facet. If Barbarian Swords started flirting with keyboards in their songs for the split Tetrarchia Ex Bestia, Panzer has now given them a new ghostly status, always without departing from the expected musical annihilation and extreme violence. In addition, Steamroller has also stepped up to the plate by creating ‘A Thousand Impaled Heads’, an epic ride that really will end up with your skull on a pike.
To the usual corrosive venom of Von Päx on the mic, we have to add the overwhelming and brutal drums of Uretra (Onirophagus), who has helped them in the studio together with Félez, who has contributed a solo on ‘Anti-Dogma Megaforce’. The cover artwork has been done by the legendary Chris Moyen (Incantation, Blasphemy, Aura Noir, Archgoat, Black Witchery, Morbosidad...), perfectly illustrating the wave of immorality, mass murders, or endless piles of corpses that the exacerbated nihilism and sick misanthropy of Barbarian Swords always entails.
The band’s fifth album should arrive in a few months, but in the meantime, get ready to see Barbarian Swords pulverizing all dogmas of faith, religious and ideological, right and left, without marrying anything or anyone.
[SPA] En julio de 2022, Barbarian Swords grabaron, mezclaron y masterizaron dos discos con Javi Félez en Moontower Studios (Deströyer 666, Teitanblood, Graveyard, Balmog, Empty, Körgull The Exterminator...). No un doble álbum o dos piezas que se complementan, no… Un par de discos totalmente independientes, cada uno con su propia naturaleza destructiva y avasallante.
Por mediación del sello Eternal Juggernaut Records, y no sin cierta polémica con otra discográfica que debía publicar la versión en LP, ahora por fin nos llega la primera de estas obras: Anti-Dogma Megaforce.
Siguiendo la estela netamente black de su anterior trabajo Totemic Anal Turbofucker, ahora la banda catalana entra en otro nivel de abominación puliendo los riffs y profundizando en la composición, sobre todo gracias a Panzer, quien ha tomado las riendas principales en esta faceta del grupo. Si Barbarian Swords empezaron a coquetear con los teclados en sus canciones para el split Tetrarchia Ex Bestia, Panzer les ha dado ahora un nuevo estatus fantasmal, siempre sin salirse de la aniquilación musical y la extremísima violencia que se espera de ellos. Además, Steamroller también ha dado un paso al frente creando ‘A Thousand Impaled Heads’, una cabalgada épica que realmente terminará con tu cráneo clavado en una pica.
Al veneno corrosivo habitual de Von Päx al micro hay que sumarle las baterías arrolladoras y brutales de Uretra (Onirophagus), quien les ha ayudado en el estudio junto a Félez, que ha aportado un solo en ‘Anti-Dogma Megaforce’. La portada ha corrido a cargo del mítico Chris Moyen (Incantation, Blasphemy, Aura Noir, Archgoat, Black Witchery, Morbosidad...), ilustrando a la perfección la oleada de inmoralidad, asesinatos en masa o pilas interminables de cadáveres que el nihilismo exacerbado y la misantropía enfermiza de Barbarian Swords siempre conlleva.
En unos meses debería llegar el quinto álbum de la banda, pero mientras tanto, preparémonos para ver a unos Barbarian Swords pulverizando todos los dogmas de fe, religiosos e ideológicos, a derecha e izquierda, sin casarse con nada ni nadie.
