Today’s review is of Swiss Melodic Black Metal band Tyrmfar’s last album.
This release offers some epic and crushing Black Metal with a pretty modern feel and catchy melodies that bring to mind Gaerea. The band also implements many Death Metal elements to give some extra force and complexity to the songs.
As a result, you have something extreme, powerful and interesting. Perhaps it won’t appeal to Black Metal purists, but fans of melodic Extreme Metal mixes will certainly enjoy this. My personal highlights are “Divine Justice” and “Inner Destruction”.
I recommend this album to fans of Melodic Black Metal and Blackened Death Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
