Today’s review is of American Thrash Metal band Nemesis RI’s debut EP.
This release offers some straightforward songs that occasionally include slight progressive twists, and they live somewhere in between Thrash in the style of Testament or Metallica and Epic Heavy Metal in a similar manner to modern bands that play the style, even if this EP is also a sort of comeback from the band despite it being the debut.
The songs aren’t at all aggressive, and they instead use the style’s rhythm to display some sort of faster Heavy Metal in an upbeat fashion with twin melodies under a raw production. My personal highlights are “Imprisoned With The Pharaohs” and “Kings”.
I recommend this album to fans of American Thrash Metal, Speed Metal and Epic Heavy Metal. My rating is of 7,5/10.
