Today’s review is of German Power Metal band Tragedian’s new album.
This release offers some classic and virtuous Power Metal that displays clearly the band’s veteran prowess. Their approach may be compared to the Italian scene, mainly to Labyrinth and Rhapsody. They also play at a higher tempo than your average Power Metal, reminding the listener of the genre’s Speed Metal origins.
As so, it takes an old-school approach without losing any opportunity for acrobatic keyboard and guitar solos under passionate vocals. The album is upbeat, but it’s also heavier than other similar acts thanks to their speed. If you want something epic, magical and talented you should check this out. My personal highlights are “Into The Light” and “Eternal”.
I recommend this album to fans of Power Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
