Spacegoat: Release New Single/Video 'Earthquakes'

 

Follow Spacegoat on Social Media Spacegoat is thrilled to announce the release of their new single Earthquakes, available everywhere on Feb 8th, 2023. “Earthquakes is essentially an acknowledgement that sadness has its place and is as valid and useful as any of the so-called ‘positive’ emotions,” says vocalist, Ez. “My hope is that listeners can feel the optimism in this song and turn to it as a light in darker times.”  Earthquakes is the first release from the Aussie alt-metal band since the release of their EP Catharsis in 2021. Working alongside Chris Themelco at Monolith Studios for the first time, the band are extremely eager for their fans to hear the evolution of their sound in their new material. “Chris knew exactly what to tweak to make this song come to life and be the biggest, best version of itself,” Ez explains of the recording process. “All five of us felt instantly in tune with Chris and that made the recording process so easy, so fun and so satisfying. He knew exactly what we were going for and the areas in which we wanted to level-up from the material we’ve released previously. We’re so incredibly happy with the result.”  Earthquakes will be available from February 8th for digital download via Bandcamp and Spacegoat’s official website. With roots in various metal sub-genres, they have been likened to bands such as Flyleaf, The Butterfly Effect, Deftones, Tool, and Halestorm, however Spacegoat really do have a sound that is uniquely their own. The five members have a synergy that shines through their songs and is particularly evident when they take to the stage. Spacegoat’s performances have been described as energetic and infectious. Emerging in 2019, their debut EP ‘33’ was met with positive reviews from punters and publications alike and their follow up release ‘Catharsis’ really began getting people’s attention. Recently, Spacegoat were voted amongst the top bands in Melbourne for a chance to play at the acclaimed Good Things Festival. While they didn’t claim the top prize, this opportunity demonstrated the enthusiasm brewing behind the band and encouraged Spacegoat to have their sights set on new heights for 2023. A string of new releases is planned from February and the members of Spacegoat are excited to be releasing their best music yet.
