Today’s review is of American Thrash Death Metal band Ninth Realm’s debut album, out on November 4th.
This album spans through many different aspects of Thrash Metal, though it’s always leaning towards the most extreme subgenres. The first tracks lean more towards a wrathful Thrash Death approach, while further on in the full-length the direction shifts towards a Rock n’ Roll imbued blend of Black Speed Metal that brings to mind Hellripper.
Nonetheless, the epic melodies and the strong vocal performance help to tie it all together, culminating in an offering of pure old-school Metal with catchy riffs and fresh ideas. My personal highlights are “Witches Choir” and “Eternal Lance”.
I recommend this album to fans of Thrash Death Metal, Black Thrash Metal and Black Speed Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
