Medusa Touch fire their ‘Money Shot’
Scottish NWOBHM stalwarts Medusa Touch have released their third single ‘Money Shot’; taken from their upcoming second album ‘Insaniteyes’.
Across the track’s five-minutes the band brings their A-game, showcasing their classic sound and characteristic tongue-in-cheek lyrics:
“As happy as a man can be
You're everything to me
My fingers walk all over you
Nothing for us to lose
A Countdown to the show
As they lights they go down low
You're everything I need you to be
So baby stand by me”
[Bass player] Demy recalls during the recording: “Before lyrics go down there are demos [and] ideas, recorded by [vocalist & guitarist] Gogsy with working titles. [He] recorded the lyrics and revealed the song title, ‘Money Shot’.. I just remember [guitarist] Nige, in panic with terror on his face, proclaiming - “Sweet Jesus, you can’t call it that. It’s 2022 not 1982!” Gogsy’s reply was “What the hell do you mean, it’s about a guy loving his guitar and getting photographed on stage!” Nige just raised an eyebrow…”
Written and recorded in their own recording studio, Medusa Touch’s new album ‘Insaniteyes’ is out November 18th via Devil’s Clause Records.
