Today’s review is of Swedish Death Metal band Turbocharged’s upcoming new album, out on October 14th.
This release offers a very powerful assault of Swedish Death Metal done the right way. It has the same sonority, straightforward approach and inherent darkness as the classics, and most songs in this full-length have some very well developed Dismember and Entombed (especially Entombed AD) influences.
It is also worth noting how there’s a Rock n’ Roll prevalence that brings to mind a distorted and down-tuned version of Motörhead. The release also has an ideal length for the genre, and there’s definitely no fillers here, only carnage. My personal highlights are “Piss Stigmata” and “Hunger Of The Wendigo”.
I recommend this album to fans of Swedish Death Metal and Death n’ Roll. My rating is of 9,5/10.
