ENGLISH:
Last Friday day 1 / 2 we attended the concert offered by the Hocico Mexicans in the Wolf room in Barcelona.
Everything was a bit improvised and crazy in the way of... "Fuck everything and we'll go to the concert", although I would attend the Ktulu concert the next day, Saturday 2 / 2, at the Bóveda room, we needed to disconnect both desperate , so I moved my work schedule a bit and we ran to Wolf , we got there at 9:00 p.m.
The great pity was that the guests Stigmatroz , the Uruguayan ElectroDark duo of Guacho R. Sendon and Mauro Pil Modernell , who by the way reside in Barcelona had already played and another one who barely had cash on him for the tickets and still luck that came to us to buy them , but that condemned us to not being able to buy anything from the Merchan of the bands that night since I would have liked to buy a CD and a Hocico t - shirt that I loved , but that 's what it takes to do things desperately . We bought the ticket at the box office slipping my wallet and Ana's bag and we entered the room, they had shortened the room with the black curtains lowered and thus the almost two hundred people of all ages, gave an atmosphere of very good entrance and it is that Wolf It is very well prepared to give these sensations of fullness that are very pleasant for the public and artists. I was able to greet Jordi "Pelut" who was next to Sel at the sound and lighting table.
On stage a solitary keyboard with a computer next to it and the microphone stand with five strung skulls already said that the scenography would be fucking austere, when the lights were turned off during an atmospheric intro and Racso came out to the stage amid the shouts of the people. Agroyam behind the synthesizer dressed in a black apron to the feet and a black mask with rivets leaving his face free only with his eyes up, Erk Aicrag the singer was also all in black with half his face painted white and his usual crest with a skirt of gladiator and some shoulder pads very much like GWAR or Lordi with skulls and horns, in that atmospheric start with the lights from behind his silhouette was glimpsed post-apocalyptic like that of the bad guys in the Mad Max movies.
We had never seen Hocico although we both like his music very much, the style is Agrotech, an evolution of Gothic ElectroDark combined with the more aggressive rhythms of electronic Hard Core.
They started with "Blackout" and from the first moment the people were already very dedicated and eager to party "Dark Sunday", "Sex Sick" or "In The Name Of Violence" and the public enjoyed them very much, they did not stop screaming, dance and jump.
Racso (Óscar Mayorga) would remain still and impassive throughout the concert launching an aggressive Hard Core Electro Dark from his synthesizer, but Erk (Erik Garcia) did not stop jumping and kicking until the last corner and damn that as a single guy he turned the stage In extreme madness, filling it alone with tons of attitude, he defended his place to the death and people appreciated his effort and charisma throughout the show.
I already went to the front row to jump with the rock, quite a few gothic foreigners, especially Germans, in "No One Gets Out Alive", "Bite Me!" and "I Abomination" I've already seen up close the half-erased white paint on Erk's face, obviously he's not wearing Kiss's expensive Max Factor makeup, but neither Paul Stanley nor Gene Simmons are hysterically banging the mic against his head! !!!!
"Psichonaut", "Poltergueis", "Dead Trust" and "Palabras De Sangre" followed one another while he released great horror phrases like "The doors are closed, no one will get out of here alive tonight", "Who is going to die first, you or I ", "Listen... listen to the dogs of hell " and of course as good Mexicans "Cabrones !!!!"
They were arriving at the end of the concert with "A Fatal Desire" and "Tiempos de Furia" and before the party shouts of the people for encores they saved "Welcome To La Maldad" ,"Ecos" , the psychotic "Hate In The Soul" and "Low Testosterone Sex".
They offered a good frenetic , fun , furious and partying show with an excellent sound that we enjoyed very much .
It is a group that we will see again whenever we can.
At the end and the public was dissipating we met our friend Raquel de Wolf and Erk and Racso also left the dressing room to chat amicably with the people and take photos with whoever wanted it and we did so with a few laughs.
