It's been a long time since we heard about Wasting The Genesis, the deathcore band from Malaga. Six years separate Viral Supremacy, their first album, from Prey, the overwhelming EP that the quintet will release on April 22nd.
During this period the Andalusian combo has perfected its weapons, and its misanthropy, its sincere and deep aversion towards humanity, has matured in Prey, four terrifying songs in which annihilation reigns. In fact, aided by a production and mastering by Vic Ortega and this cover by Erik Kirchner (Humanity's Last Breath), we can safely say that here the band, with offshoots in Mainbrain, has fully embraced brutal deathcore.
Pray you don't become the prey of Wasting The Genesis, because if you are captured alive, these songs will become an ordeal. If you like Thy Art Is Murder, Despised Icon, Thirteen Bled Promises or Carnifex, you're going to have a great time with Prey. Single very soon!
