Deviltook invoke Heretic Manifesto, their second black mass
Since they were founded in 2017, Deviltook They haven't strayed a millimeter from their main mission: to pay homage to the strictest and purest black metal. Once established as a formation with Gastaroth (bass), Lacuercus (guitar), Mark Berserk (vocals, keyboards, drums) and Volundr (guitar), and after publishing the raw At War With Gods in 2020, the band is ready to continue fighting Christianity with Heretic Manifesto, a second album that will be released this Tuesday, February 22.
After all, we're talking about a cult with members of Mixomatosis, Aposento, Bizarre, Cult Of Self Destruction, Irredemption, Pro Septico or Itnuveth, so it's not hard to imagine how accurate the dark homilies of this quartet can be. At their core, Deviltook drink from second wave black classics, so anyone who enjoys Carpathian Forest, Darkthrone or Gorgoroth will also enjoy them.
Heretic Manifesto will come out under the banner of Negra Nit and Base Record Production for CD and LP, with Abstract Emotions talso participating in the CD edition. For its part, Base Record alone will take care of the cassette.
Deviltook operate from a distance and do not seem to have the intention of getting on stage, so this new work has been recorded from different points, with Gastaroth at Base Record Studios, Lacuercus at Death Home, Mark at Deathrune Studios and Volundr , in the Vethhadum. Finally, the album has been mastered at Grindahäus Studios by Ton Moreno.
The cover has been taken care of by Mark Berserk himself, and this is his complete track list:
1. Ordo Hereticus
2. Negativity And Rejection
3. The Theosophical Awakening
4. Pagans Roots
5. Indoctrinated
6. Wolves Of Kali Yuga
7. Adventum Lucifer
8. Non Serviam
9. Against The Modern World
10. Doomed By The Snake
