VOODOO MOONSHINE – BOTTOM OF THE BARREL( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of American Hard Rock band Voodoo Moonshine’s new album.

Coming back with full force after a long silence, the band delivers some old-school Rock n’ Roll that combines the flamboyance of the 80s with the rough edge of the 90s and a modern freshness comparable to Wig Wam or Guns n’ Roses’ early sleaziness. This album offers indisputably American Rock with an elegance and confidence that makes it easily considered a Glam Rock release.

The full-length includes some very powerful and catchy songs that will have you singing along between those bluesy solos, but the latter half of the release takes a calmer approach with acoustic ballads that completely halt the forward motion of the whole, despite offering some commercial friendliness. Nonetheless, there certainly are many bangers in the album, such as “Give It To Me” or “Sometimes Ya Just Wanna”.

I recommend this album to fans of Hard Rock and Glam Rock. My rating is of 8,5/10.
