Today’s review is of International Death Metal band Symbtomy’s new demo.
Featuring an array of veterans of the genre, the demo offers 3 tracks of powerful Metal that remind of the classic masters of Death Metal. The songs have that degree of Thrash that identifies OSDM firmly incorporated, and the recording quality is as high as the one of any album despite the labelling as demo.
While the release is very straightforward and aggressive in the likes of Cadaver, there is also an amount of melody subtly added to bring to mind early At The Gates with their flirting with an epic aura while always maintaining a pure Death Metal essence. Fans of anything old-school, extreme and gory will be pleased to bang their heads to the rhythm of this demo, which displays a fair amount of potential from the band.
I recommend this album to fans of OSDM. My rating is of 9/10.
