NEOPHITUS: Calendar of shows for 2021 is officially open, new EP on the way, learn more!


Death Metal band Neophitus is counting down to release their first EP, entitled “Anthropophagy Ritualis”, scheduled to be available in that first semester, in physical and digital format. The band is already planning to release this material live.

The paulistas confirmed in their social networks that they already have their concert schedule open for this year of 2021, aiming at a possible tour of the EP “Anthropophagy Ritualis”, in the South of Brazil. Producers interested in more information, just ask by e-mail neophitusdeathmetal@gmail.com, about the return to the stage, vocalist Alex Pinho commented:

“On the importance of returning to the stage after a hiatus: we were looking forward to returning to live shows after years of stopping because of setbacks and the covid pandemic, but we killed the will on January 23 at MAREMOTUM METAL FEST in Bertioga and we already have an agenda with shows in São Paulo, Jandira, Sorocaba among other locations. Wait for us to evolve our live performance!"

Scheduled to be released in this first semester the conceptual EP, being recorded by Nico Teixeira at the Audio Lab Extreme Studio in Taubaté / SP, the cover art was created by the artist Rodrigo Desoper (Desoper Arts), based on the anthropophagic ritual of the Tupinambás. “Our EP talks about the Tupinambás and this song tells the history of the tribe, its rituals, its bravery and cunning”, explained vocalist Alex Pinho.

Formed by Alex Pinho (vocal) Pablo Baez and Vinicius de Souza (guitars) Markinhus Drawer (low) and Nando Morais (battery) was created in May 2000, for the purpose of performing brutal technical death metal, with cadenced and morbid passages ”, the lyrical part is based on philosophy, psychiatry and history.
