Today’s review is of American Thrash Metal band Brick By Brick’s new album.
This release combines the speed and catchiness of American Thrash Metal with the breakdowns and additional heaviness of Groove Metal to deliver intense and wrathful songs that may be enjoyed by almost any fan of American Thrash despite the modern elements overshadowing any reminiscence of the old-school.
Perhaps an element that may seem distasteful to some listeners is the very occasional rap bit, which adds some Fear Factory vibes to the album. Nonetheless, their use is rare and doesn’t interfere with the musical direction. This full-length will have you banging your head during all its playtime, and many tracks seem ideal to see performed live. These songs are a heavy pounding of unrest and anger. My personal highlights are “Evil Remains” and “Whiskey Is The Truth”.
I recommend this album to fans of Thrash Metal and Groove Metal. My rating is of 8/10.
