Corners of Sanctuary Looks into the Band's First Cover Release

Corners of Sanctuary Looks into the Band's First Cover Release

As 2022 sets its course for the next 12 months, Philadelphia rockers Corners of Sanctuary (COS) have already started to lay the foundations of what poses to be another year chalked full of new music from the band.

For the first time ever, Corners of Sanctuary will be releasing a cover song with their version of the classic 1981 Def Leppard track, "Mirror, Mirror (Look into My Eyes)."

"When I proposed the idea to the band about doing a cover song, everyone was immediately on board," said COS guitarist Mick Michaels. "Rather than just go with one of the more popular hits, we wanted to do a track that we felt was more in line with our style."

COS delivers a haunting rendition of the Def Leppard track, while adding their own powerfully unique arrangement and respectively bringing the song into the fold of the current Corners of Sanctuary catalog. The single was mastered by legendary Metal Blades Records’ producer Bill Metoyer (Slayer, Armored Saint, W.A.S.P.).

"Mirror, Mirror (Look into My Eyes) officially drops January 14th and is being made available as a free download exclusively through Inner Demon Records. A music video will also accompany the single’s release.

"We are excited about this new facet of the Corners of Sanctuary legacy," Michaels added. "It's something we never thought we'd explore...but things change…and stuff like this helps push boundaries and create new perspectives."

Following last November’s release of Corners of Sanctuary’s latest album on CD, “Blood and Steel: Fight Till the End,” a vinyl edition is now available for order.
