Today’s review is of Chilean Thrash Death Metal band Vomit’s new EP.
This release consists of 6 tracks of pure underground and old-school carnage. Mixing relentless violence with riffs that will break your neck and cavernous vocals mixed with shrieking solos, these songs are everything a fan of classic Extreme Metal may wish for. Reminding of Sarcofago, very early Sepultura and even Slayer, the band doesn’t bring any innovation, instead perfectly mastering what is known to be brutal.
No traces of modern decorations are to be found here, only old, straightforward and putrid Metal as should be performed. While their sonority tends to strive more into the Death Metal side to ensure the maximum aggression, you also have the appealing rhythm of good Thrash. If you want your music raw, primitive and furious then you should check this out. My personal highlights are “Carrion” and “Realm Of The Goat”.
I recommend this album to fans of Thrash Death Metal and OSDM. My rating is of 9/10.
