KONTACT – FIRST CONTACT ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Canadian Heavy Metal band Kontact’s upcoming debut album, out on January 4^th.

This album delivers some classic Heavy Metal with fast paced and spacey-like vibes reminiscing Agent Steel on some parts, while other tracks take an almost bluesy approach, certainly delivering a dynamic album with a decent cohesion nonetheless.

Although the vocals may be startling for some listeners, if you play the release multiple times and get used to it, it serves as a good backup for the music. If you want flamboyant melodies combined with calmer and groovier yet just as enjoyable bits, you should check this out. The fast and slow aspects of the release are wisely combined to give a sense of ups and downs that will take the listener to a riff-filled region of outer space. My personal highlights are “The Devil In Iron” and “City Of The Pyramid”.

I recommend this album to fans of Heavy Metal. My rating is of 8/10.
