Existem has operated since 2010, and have stood proud as Kansas City’s progressive metal champs on a series of EPs and albums. They have performed with Alcest, Katatonia, Leprous, Ne Obliviscaris, Plini, Oathbreaker and many more in the wake of 2018’s Mantle. Combining soaring melodies and intricate instrumentation with aggressively heavy yet catchy riffs, their signature style is not to be missed.
With the new EP Searching for Clarity, Existem has prepared another release of forward-thinking, textural metal, with production from Joshua Barber (The Devil Wears Prada, Norma Jean) bringing their songs to life. Recorded in the band's tenth year of operation, the songs explore introspective themes about maturity, growth and learning, and tell stories of overcoming difficulties to become a better self.
