Today’s review is of Finnish Thrash Metal band Demonztrator’s new album.
This release captures the same frenetic energy of the most wrathful old-school acts such as Kreator while also adding some slight elements of the new wave of Thrash, bringing bands such as Warbringer to mind. Unlike most other current bands, these seem to deliver their fury completely unrefined and without any sort of decoration, appealing thus more to the enjoyers of classic and violent Teutonic Thrash.
This release also feels influenced by the particular style of the Finnish style, and while nothing extremely innovative is here created, the songs feel pretty fresh and new. Mixing powerful riffs and catchy choruses, this release will surely have you banging your head, leaving also space for some enjoyable epic passages that create some intrigue. My personal highlights are “Murderlust” and “The Collapse”.
I recommend this album to fans of Thrash Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
