Today’s review is of German Death Grind masters Blood’s album “Dysangelium”, celebrating its upcoming rerelease.
This album features many tracks of wretched depravity that brings sonic mayhem to its limit, while always leaving room for some darkness to top the experience. Combining Death Grind as done once more by the veterans with occult passages that may even be compared to Black Metal interludes, the album contains all the mandatory aggression while allowing too for some mysticism that makes it even more enjoyable.
This particular album may remind the listener of Nunslaughter, General Surgery or Impetigo, and if you enjoy quality Extreme Metal and somehow don’t already know them, this is as good an album to begin with as any other. Fans of the most depraved kind of Grindcore and the most brutal and spine-crushing Death Metal must listen to this release, it is surely worth it. My personal highlights are “Son Of Shadows” and “Poison For The Soul”.
I recommend this album to fans of Death Grind. My rating is of 9/10.
