Today’s review is of Spanish Brutal Death Metal band Infernal Hate’s upcoming new album, out on November 26th.
This album is an aggressive piece of madness that will drag you into the old-school mayhem of powerful Death Metal immediately. While the release is as violent as should be expected from this style, it also has some inherent darkness that is usually omitted by similar acts. With this considered, the full-length reminds of early Morbid Angel, especially with the David Vincent like growls, although perhaps this album may be less technical, though this is compensated with ominous slow parts of unrelenting pain.
Fans of anything dark and extreme should enjoy this release, for it is pretty straightforward but it definitely grasps at some occult elements that may be attributed more often to Black Metal (though this genre has no direct influences on their sound), or to the purest bands of Swedish Death Metal, such as Grave, who may be used more accurately as a comparison too. My personal highlights are “Ex Nihilo” and “Vulcanoapocalypsis”.
I recommend this album to fans of Brutal Death Metal and Blackened Death Metal. My rating is of 9/10.
