Today’s review is of Spanish Death Metal band Deimler’s upcoming debut album, out on October 19th.
Following the same style of their EP, the band deliver pure Death Metal with strong influences from Sweden the old-school way. Perhaps the album shows some additional maturity in their sound, with some occasional melodies adding a notable amount of darkness to the release, making the whole pretty epic from time to time.
Despite all that, the music is still unquestionably brutal at its core, forming a gruesome aura of demise around the listener while having some catchy riffs to surely enjoy if seen performed live. Fans of their EP will love the album, and people who haven’t checked it out should get ready for a merciless auditory carnage once this opus is released. My personal highlights are the title track and “The Sentinels”.
I recommend this album to fans of Death Metal. My rating is of 9,5/10.
