Today’s review is of Swedish Heavy Metal band Black Rose’s new album.
This album proves once again their veteran talent, delivering some good old-school Heavy Metal filled with confident solos, sweet riffs and an epic aura magnified by the vocal performance. Mixing into their clearly Swedish style some elements of Hard Rock and perhaps one may dare to say Greek Heavy Metal, the band also top their songs on this album with some extra melody in an Iron Maiden like way, though this never makes the songs too long or complex; the freshness of the moment is always as present as the direct approach of the compositions.
Fans of old-school Heavy Metal will surely enjoy it, and enjoyers of NWOTHM should also check it out. My personal highlights are “The Fall” and “Queen Of The Night”.
I recommend this album to fans of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock. My rating is of 8,5/10.
