MYSTERIZER – THE HOLY WAR 1095 (Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Finnish Power Metal band Mysterizer’s new album.

Delivering classic Finnish upbeat Power Metal in the usual way, they also seem to implement the keyboards somewhat differently, even adding feelings of AOR (though of course these are abruptly ripped by the high Power Metal vocals). This remote sound also sometimes converges in Heavy Metal to create a central point that quickly returns to Power.

Combining influences of modern Helloween with the more rock side of Dragonforce’s latest release and an aura of classic 90s Power Metal imbued in medieval touches, this album has some memorable tracks, although there are also some occasional fillers. My personal highlights are “King Of Kings” and “Alea Iacta Est”.

I recommend this album to fans of Power Metal. My rating is of 8/10.
