The death metal group Fierce Cult rose from the ashes of The Seed, and being on the road since 2007, they have found a mission ... a mission to channel their anger, their frustration with modern society and their problematic standards to bring people together. and make mosh.
They are making music that they, as fans, would like to hear, and their integrity is paying off, as the line-up has been reaping underground hits from the very beginning. Fierce Cult's first studio album, Where Humanity Ends (SAOL), takes the aggressive sound of The Seed's previous two albums into more technical terrain. It was made in difficult circumstances that demanded almost inhuman levels of resistance from the band, and it shows: the album is distilled collective rage, both an insurrection against the commodification of human lives on the brink of extinction and on the emotional damage produced by the small-scale interpersonal conflicts.
"Death comes to everyone, even if blood splatters don't stain your door," shouts vocalist and guitarist Koko in the title track of the album. His fellow thrashers Jorge Molano (drums) and David Rivilla (guitar, bass) step in as precision machinery with their increasingly dark and aggressive playing and their sound citing greats like Pantera, Meshuggah and Behemoth.
Equal parts technical and brutal, Where Humanity Ends is a powerful 12-track attack on our comfortable lives that will make heads roll and explode. Fierce Cult proclaim: "The cult keeps growing uglier and stronger every day, the monster never stops."
