For fans of Autopsy, Cancer, Incantation, Grave.
Spring of 2021. A three-piece underground band from Glamsbjerg, a village-turn-to-city in the Center of Denmark, locks itself in Death Island Studio, with producer Marco Angioni. What happened in the few weeks later, also with further drum recordings done in the local Glamsbjerg Metal Studio with Lord Titan engineering, was to be known to the metal community as “The Armageddon sessions”. The band - TARDUS MORTEM - had released one year before the “Engulfed In Pestilent Darkness” in a limited edition of 100 tapes (it was later reissued by Emanzipation on vinyl) which was received with disgust and shock of some, to audio pleasure and respect of underground fanatics. Their chaotic and deep-gnarled death metal was polarising, in a time when bands seek consensus, their attitude was extreme in a time when politically correctness dictated the scene.
Spring of 2021. Tardus Mortem dived down even further into the abyss of cacophony to create sepulchral hymns of desolation and the most desolate and apocalyptic record possible. With three songs (plus a re-recorded track and a Grave cover) depicting the impending Christian apocalypse where seraphs crucify humanity, and everything is forlorn, the new album “Armageddon” was created. With lyrics that depict the apocalyptic, and desolate nature of denomination, the death trio take the listener into a bleak and dismal existence depicting human and godly atrocities. In the form of Jehovah witness apocalyptic prophecies.
Will you open them your door?
“Armageddon” will be released in digital, CD and LP by Emanzipation Productions, on November 5th, 2021.
