Today’s review is of American Blackened Melodic Death Metal band All Life Dies’ debut EP.
Mixing an immersive and atmospheric assault of modern Black Metal with a much more soothing dose of the lightest kind of Melodic Death Metal, this EP delivers 3 songs as a preview to an interesting new band.
While these shifts are a great concept that give a new twist to the genre, sometimes they feel somewhat disproportionate and sudden, ruining the previously created atmosphere. Nonetheless, the concept may be interesting once its better developed in future releases, thus calling the attention of fans of modern and progressive-tinted metal. Skipping from extremity to almost pop vibes, the EP may not be enjoyable by fans of the old-school, but only by listeners of the newest and innovative Melodic Death Metal acts.
I recommend this album to fans of Melodic Death Metal. My rating is of 7,5/10.
