Todays’ review is of Singaporean Brutal Death Metal band Vrykolakas’ new album.
This album delivers absolute mayhem in the likes of any other extreme band from the same genre, but thanks to their implementation of slight hints of OSDM and their early Blackened Death Metal, they achieve a much more dynamic sonority that allows for some catchiness while not losing any power.
Fans of basically any sort of Death Metal may enjoy this release, for despite the legnth of each of its tracks the album is definitely relentless. My personal highlights are “Kaf-Fa-Ra” and “The Jasad On The Throne”. This is a solid full-length that needs no innovation to sound fresh performed by a band that has mastered the rotten formula for good Death Metal.
I recommend this album to fans of Death Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
