REBIRTH – THE PROCESS OF OBLITERATION

Today’s review is of American Thrash Metal band Rebirth’s album “The Process Of Obliteration”, given its rerelease.

This excessively long album mixes Thrash Metal with elements of Metalcore and perhaps Progressive Death Metal in a way that produces many unnecessary technical displays, melodies and a vocal performance that may not quite appeal to many fans of pure Thrash Metal.

Nonetheless, some pretty good solos appear (like on “In The Wake Of Desperation”) and some songs are somewhat enjoyable to a larger audience, like for example “Castrating The Insecure”. If you’re looking for Thrash Metal with more modern elements than usual you may want to check this album out, but if you like pure and old-school Thrash Metal then this one is not for you.

I recommend this album to fans of Thrash Metal, Metalcore and Progressive Thrash Death Metal. My rating is of 7/10.
