Today’s review is of Swedish Melodic Rock band Pressure’s new album.
This band has crafted an original mix of Melodic Rock with slightly epic Heavy Metal that has this release as a result. While some songs may sound really old-school and almost like early Scorpions, others sound like the most modern kind of Rock and others could appear in a Dio album if the vocals were to be changed. To add more versatility, there are many different languages in which the album is sung, each adding minute details that improve the sonority depending on the instrumental requirements.
Nonetheless, the whole full-length may end up being tedious to be heard at once for many fans, and the tracklist could’ve been divided into 2 separate albums to make it more appealing. Despite that, there are some pretty decent songs here, product of the band’s unique style that will surely be further perfected in the future. My personal highlights are “Osarbar” and “What You See (Is What You Get)”.
I recommend this album to fans of Melodic Rock and Heavy Metal, especially Epic Heavy Metal. My rating is of 8/10.
