Todays’ review is of Danish Thrash Metal band Killing’s upcoming debut album, out on August 13th.
This release will truly be a modern classic among new Thrash bands. Forgetting any kind of modernity and embracing old-school Teutonic Thrash Metal (especially in the likes of early Kreator), the band deliver 9 tracks of unceasing riffs under a really powerful vocal performance.
Added to all this are shrieking solos and Slayer-like screams to perfect their classic sound of unquestionable catchiness. My personal highlights are “Don’t Get Mad, Get Evil” and “Killed In Action”. Any fan of the most extreme and belligerent classic Thrash should check this out. This album really captivates the steaming origins of Extreme Metal in a personal way. This is a band with a surely bright future.
I recommend this album to fans of Thrash Metal, especially Teutonic Thrash. My rating is of 9,5/10.
