Today’s review is of the split between American Death Metal bands Deconsecration and Re-Buried.
On this release, both bands deliver decent tracks of OSDM, with Deconsecration leaning towards a steady tempo with a powerful sonic carnage upon it whereas Re-Buried create a more oppressive soundscape that reminds more of Swedish Death Metal than of the American counterpart.
Although both bands are quite similar, each have their own distinct sound. Regardless, if you like one of them you’ll probably enjoy the other one too. My personal highlights are Deconsecration’s mayhemic “Dissected To Death” and Re-Buried’s early Hipocrisy-inspired and aptly named “Hipocrisy Incarnate”. Fans of gory and pungent classic Death Metal of any sort must check out this wretched split.
I recommend this to fans of Death Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
