The hard rock powerhouse from Canada, Sven Gali, launches the single and video for "Hurt.” With Covid restrictions easing, Sven Gali delivers an aggressive, modern rock vaccine for the ages. Masterfully produced by Threat Signal's Jon Howard, “Hurt” brings classic “Under The Influence” Sven Gali to the modern era and opens the door to the next generation of hard rock fans.
Sven Gali built a name fast with their live shows; drawing growing crowds on the Canadian and US circuit while building their songwriting chops and a wild reputation. David Bendeth signed the band to BMG Music Canada in 1991 and produced the self-titled debut, released in 1992.
The masterful debut album includes the hit "Under The Influence," which won the Much Music Best Metal Video award of 1993 and the emotional ballad "Love Don't Live Here Anymore," which hit no. 6 Can Con song of 1993. The band was nominated for Hard Rock Album of the Year and Most Promising Band at the Juno’s. The debut album, "Sven Gali," went gold in Canada that year.
Following extensive touring worldwide, being a major event on stages with legends (April Wine / Foreigner / Pearl Jam / Def Leppard), Sven Gali continued their journey with the release of their sophomore album, "In Wire" in 1995.
After a long time in the shadows (Twenty-five years to be exact) after their debut album went Gold in Canada, Sven Gali came back rockin' in 2018 with a more modernized edged rocker, "Kill The Lies," and a year later with another in "You Won't Break Me".
In 2020, Sven Gali’s “3” EP re-introduced the band to the masses, spawned by the hit “Now” which garnered the best rock song at the Bangar Music Awards in January 2021.
