A few months after the release of the previous single Cry Me A River, which has received several positive opinions among the public and insiders, Misantrophia are pleased to present today their new single: Boogeyman. The song was born after the band decided to change genre from a nu-metal/rapcore with lyrics in Italian to a metalcore sung in English: a leap in the dark, full of uncertainties that are proving, over time, confirmations of what had been set up good in previous years.
Boogeyman was mixed and mastered by Davide "HVZE" Aroldi. Regarding the theme of the song, Enne, the frontman, declares: "Boogeyman is about the dark side that is inside each one of us, hidden in the pillow folds, that assaults us when we feel safe. The song expresses the sense of being able to internalize this and knowing how to distinguish right from wrong. It has a connection to our previous single, Cry Me a River, and to the other songs I've been writing in these last months, it's a period of analysis towards every aspect of the human mind, mine especially." The single is accompanied by an official video, shot and edited by Andrea Della Sala. |
